1770 Jacob Sherrick was born on January 21. [1]

1776 Elizabeth Rohrer, daughter of Isaac and Elizabeth Rohrer, was born in Lampeter Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. [2] [3] [4] [5]

1790 Jacob Sherk lived in Earl Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania in a household with 1 male age 16+, 1 male age below 16, and 6 females. [6]

1792 Joseph Sherrick married Elizabeth Rohrer, daughter of Isaac Rohrer and Elizabeth Groff, on April 15. [7] [8] [9] They lived on a farm near Mountville, West Hempfield Twp, Lancaster County. They had five children. [10]

1795 The six heirs of Jacob Sherk, deceased, signed a release related to his estate, on August 1. The estate, administered by Joseph Sherck, Henry Neff, and Andrew Gerber, was valued at £2979.18.3 in gold and silver coin, or £423.19.9 for each heir. Andrew Gerber was guardian of minor son, Christian Sherck. [11] The six heirs were:

Joseph Sherck of Hempfield Twp;
Jacob Sherck of Leacock Twp;
John Sherch of Washington County, Maryland;
David Sherck of Hempfield,
David Rohrer of Hempfield Twp and his wife Mary, late Mary Sherck; and
Andrew Gerber of Hellam Twp, York County and wife Susanna, late Susanna Sherck;

1800 Catrina Frietag was born. [12]

1804 Jacob Shirk, yeoman of Hempfield Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, sold a log dwelling and 41 acres, on August 23, to Christian Nolt. The tract had been granted to Jacob, by a deed poll, on August 12, 1803, by Lancaster high sheriff Michael Rine. The land had belonged to Valentine Krug and was adjacent to land of Joseph Shirk, Jacob Miller, and Christian Fryday. [13]

1804 Isaac Rohrer of Lampeter Twp, Lancaster County, dated his will in German on October 6. [14] A will abstract named wife Elizabeth Rohrer. Children: John, Ephraim, Joel, Christiana wife of Abraham Frick, Rebecca, Salome, and Mary wife of Singer. Grandchildren: John, Susanna, and Mary Singer. Executors: William Webb, David Graff, and Martin Rohrer. Lampeter Twp. [15] The will has been cited to chow that Jacob Sherk married Elizabeth Rohrer, daughter of Isaac Rohrer. [16]

1811 John Rohrer and wife Esther released land to Abraham Rohrer, both of Leacock Twp, Lancaster County, on October 12. The deed involved land from the estate of Isaac Rohrer and cited his will, which was written in German. The will described a plantation in Leacock Twp, to be divided among sons Martin Rohrer (married to Nancy), John Rohrer, Henry Rohrer, and Isaac Rohrer. "And whereas the heirs and representatives of the said Isaac Rohrer deceased, met and made up an account of the valuation monies of the said deceased & real estate in which account or statement was also included ninety two pounds ... which the said deceased advanced his daughter Elizabeth intermarried with Jacob Shirk ... and seventy seven pounds ... advanced to daughter Mary intermarried with Daniel Stauffer ... and also taking from the said sum a specific legacy ... bequeathed unto his son Abraham ... and also four hundred pounds which the said deceased left to his wife Elizabeth" [17]

1807 Elizabeth Rohrer Sherrick died on February 9. [18]

Joseph Sherrick moved to a 300 acre farm west of Mountville, West Hempfield Twp, Lancaster County, which included the homestead of grandfather Joseph and father Jacob Sherch. [19]

c 1815 Joseph Sherrick and Catrina Frietag, daughter of Jacob Fridy, were married. [20]

1824 Catrina Frietag Sherrick died. [21]

1844 Jacob Sherrick died on February 24. [22]

Jacob Sherrick and his two wives were buried at Mountville Union Cemetery. [23]
