Notes for Thomas A Beatty and Ann C Lutes

1850 Thomas E Batty (age 25?) and Ann Beatty (age 22) lived in Mansfield, Burlington County, New Jersey. William Batty (age 66)[Thomas' father?] and Ann Lutes (age 60)[Ann's mother?] lived with them. Adam Lutes? (age 17), Sarah Johnson (age 18), and others lived with them. [1]

1860 Thomas E Beatty (age 35) and Ann C Beatty (age 32) lived in Hopewell, Mercer County, New Jersey with Hetchen L (male, age 9), William M (age 2), Samuel (age 1 month). Ann Lutes (age 70), widow, and others lived with them. [2]

1880 Thomas E Beatty (age 55) and Ann C Beatty (age 52) lived in Puddles Island, Burlington County, New Jersey with Samuel G (age 20), Kate A (age 13), and others. [3]

1898 On October 10, Ann C Beatty wrote her will at Bordentown, Burlington County, New Jersey. The will was proved on May 21, 1900. The will named husband Thomas E Beatty and Annie Rice, a colored servant girl brought up by Ann Beatty since childhood. Children Fletcher L Beatty, William H Beatty, Samuel G Beatty, and Kate A Gibbs, wife of Wesley Gibbs, were named. William H Beatty was named executor. [4]

1898 A memorial stone for Thomas Earl Beatty (1825-1898) is at the First Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Ewing, Mercer County, New Jersey. The stone also names Kathryn Gibbs (1866-1954) and Wesley Gibbs (1854-1922) and Claire Gibbs Harter (1897-1997). [5]

1900 Ann C Beatty died on April 28, 1900, near Bordentown, leaving heirs Fletcher L Beatty, William H Beatty, Samuel G Beatty, and Kate A Gibbs. The three sons lived in Bordentown and Kate Gibbs lived in Trenton. William H Beatty was the administrator. [6]
