1440/41 On March 18, Pope Eugenius IV granted Robert Drax and his wife Eleanor an indult to have a portable alter. [1]

1440 [-1]. 15 Kal. April. Florence (f. 291.) To Robert Drax, nobleman, lord of the manor or place of Wodehall in the diocese in York, and Eleanor his wife, noblewoman. The like [ Indult to have a portable altar]. (An. and N. Sagudinus. | An. xii. de Adria.)

1459 The will of Robert Drax (bur. Derfeld) was dated October 15 and proved on March 9 the following year in the Exchequer and Prerogative Court of York (recorded in Vol. 2, fol. 424). [2]

1468 In Hilary term in the Court of Common Pleas in London, John Worsop brother of Robert Falas, senior, late citizen of London, and Robert Falas, junior, kinsman of Robert Falas, senior, late citzen of London, executors of the testament of Robert Falas, senior, late citizen of London, & Thomas Malyer & Margaret his wife who was the wife of Robert Falas senior late citizen of London also executrix with the foresaid John & Robert Falas Jun of the testament of the foresaid Robert Falas sued Kateren Calverley late of Derfeld in Yorkshire Weydowe who was the wife of Robert Drax, executrix of the testament of Robert Drax, concerning a debt. 1475 In Hilary term in the Court of Common Pleas in Yorkshire, Robert Alotte and Alice his wife sued Katerin Calverley late of Milford juxta Shirburn in Elmet in Yorkshire, widow, who was the wife of Robert Drax concerning a debt. [4]

1481 Katherine Calverley (bur. Shirburn) wrote her will on April 10. [5]

1484 The will of Katherine Calverley (bur. Shirburn) was proved on August 31 in the Exchequer and Prerogative Court of York (recorded in Vol. 5, fol. 234). [6]

Robert,sonne and heire [of John Drax] first maryed unto Elnor dowghter unto Roberte Rockley of Rockley, and had yssu Alexander sonne and heire, Robert second sonne, clerk, and parson of Derfeld, Margaret a nunne, Katherine second doughter maryed unto Thomas Wekiseldey of Newarke in Comitatu de Notingham, Agnes third dowghter a nunne, Alice fowrth dowghter maryed unto Robert Allott; then the said Robert Drax toke unto his seconde wyfe Katherine, dowghter unto William Mirfeld and had yssu Elizabeth maryed unto Nicholas Mountney of Coulay, Jone second dowghter, married unto John Layke of Normanton.

The Visitation of Yorkshire states that "Robert Drakes son and heyr of John Drakes" married "Elenor doughter of Robert Rokely of Rokelym fyrst wyf to Rychard [sic]" and married "Kateren doughter of William Myrfield 2 wyff to Robert." One of Robert's daughters by Elenor, "Katern" married "Thomas Wakefield of Newarke in Notynghamshyre." [8] [9]
