Bartholomew de Creke left, by his wife Margery, 3 sons, Robert, Geoffrey and John, who all d. s.p. His da. Sarah m. Roger FitzPiers FitzOsbert and predeceased her husband, who d. shortly before 6 Mar. 1305/6. Some authorities state that Sarah d. s.p., but others say that she had a da. Margery who d. young; which is probably true, as Roger held of Sarah's inheritance by the courtesy of England. On her husband's death Sarah's lands were divided between the descendants of her father's sisters, Margaret, wife of John de Thorpe, and Isabel, who m. John de Valoines; claims were made for the heirs of a 3rd sister, Maud, but were not substantiated. At the beginning of the 14th century Margaret was represented by her grandson John de Thorpe, while Isabel's heirs were her great-granddaughters Rose, wife of Edmund de Pakenham, and Cecily, wife of Robert (de Ufford), Lord Ufford (Close Rolls, 1234-37, p. 43; Cal.
