1856 Jacob Daniel Chevalley died on February 27 at his home in the city of Jefferson in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. The administration of the estate of Jacob Daniel Chevalley was initiated by his widow Marguerite Bernard, his son Emile R. Chevalley, and his daughter Josephine Chevalley, wife of Francis Bel on March 6 in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. An inventory was taken on March 18 and recorded in the court on March 26. The inventory included real estate valued at $3700 and six slaves valued at $4400: Moses (a negro man aged about 50 years), John Thomas (a negro man aged 37 years), Marie Densy (a negro woman aged about 28 years), Lindar (a negro man aged 47 years), Jack (a negro man aged 51 years). and Jack (a negro aged 18 years). 1883 Marguerite Bernard Chevalley, age 83, died on January 12 [4] Administration of her estate was granted to Emile R. Chevalley in April. The inventory mentions that she was the widow successively of Joseph Fleury and Jacob Daniel Chevalley. [5]
1890 Josephine Eliza Chevalley, age 56, died on July 24 in New Orleans. [6]
1898 Emile Robert Chevalley, age 70, died on December 12 in New Orleans, [7] and he was buried in Carrollton Cemetery, New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana, Old Plan Lot 188. [8] His will was recorded and his estate administered the following year. [9]
