Research Notes:

1699[/1700?] A certificate in the Massachusetts Archives from the Mayor of London regarding a deposition taken on January 31 describes some of the descendants of Richard Hunt. Wyman provides an abstract of the item, [15]

Certificate from the Lord-Mayor of London, Feb. 29, 1699. — Abstract of deposition taken Jan. 31, 1699. Richard Hunt of the parish of St. Nicholas, Leicester, had issue, 1. Thomas, b. 1602; father of John Hunt, b. 1633; formerly of Shambles Lane, in St. Nicholas Parish. 2. John, b. 1607; father of Sarah, b. 1628; mother of Thomas Morris, a baker, her eldest son, now bound for the West Indies, heir of John Hunt (as before) of Shambles Lane, who deceased without issue.

Curiously, a son named John is not mentioned in the will of Richard Hunt.
