1887 George W Nusbaum and Lydia Roose were married on December 29, 1887 at Elkhart County, Indiana. [1] [2]

1900 George Neusbaum (born in Indiana in Aug 1839, married for 12 years) lived in Harrison Twp, Elkhart County, Indiana, in a household with Ludia Neusbaum (age 38), and Gabrial Weaver (age 40). George Neusbaum's parents were both born in Ohio. George Neusbaum was a farmer. [3]

1910 George W Nusbaum (age 53, born in Indiana, married for 22 years) lived in Elkhart Ward 5, Elkhart County, Indiana, in a household with Lydia A Nusbaum (age 48), and Homer Roose (age 22). George W Nusbaum's parents were both born in Ohio. George W Nusbaum could not read or write. George W Nusbaum was a retail merchant. [4]

1930 George W Nusbaum, spouse of Lydia A Nusbaum, died in 1930. George W Nusbaum was born in 1857, child of Peter Nusbaum and Barbara Nusbaum. [7]

1930 An obituary for George Nusbaum reported [8]:

George W. Nusbaum, 72, of Dunlap, died Wednesday evening of last week at nine o'clock in the General hospital at Elkhart, of pneumonia. He had been taken to the hospital on Saturday. Mr. Nusbaum was born in this county, and had lived for many years in Elkhart. He moved to Dunlap about four years ago. Surviving are his wife, Lydia, a brother, John Nusbaum, of Elkhart; and a sister, Mrs. Henry Bechtel, of Goshen. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock at the First Brethren church in Goshen and interment made in the Yellow Creek cemetery.

1930 Lydia A Nusbaum (age 68, born in Indiana, widowed, first married at age 24) lived in Concord, Elkhart County, Indiana. Lydia A Nusbaum's parents were both born in Ohio. Lydia A Nusbaum's residence was not a farm. The residence did not have a radio. [9]

1940 Lide K Rose (age 77, born in Indiana, widowed) lived in Rossville, Clinton County, Indiana, in a household with Ethel Maple (age 45). Lide K Rose's residence was not a farm. The highest grade of school she had completed was College, 3rd year. [10]

1950 Lide K Rose (age 87, born in Indiana, widowed) lived in Rossville, Clinton County, Indiana. Lide K Rose's residence was not a farm. [11]

1951 Lydia A Nusbaum (1861-1951) died and was buried at Yellow Creek Brick Cemetery, Southwest, Elkhart County, Indiana. [12] [13]

1951 Lydia Ann Wasburn, widowed, died on November 5, at age 89, in Goshen, Elkhart County, Indiana. She was born on September 6, 1861, in Indiana, daughter of John M Boose and Mary Myles. [14]

1951 An obituary for Lydia Nusbaum reported [15]:

Mrs. Lydia Ann Nusbaum, 89, a resident at the Lockerbie convalescent home for 18 months, died at Goshen hospital at 10:00 a.m. today. She had been a patient at the hospital for the past 10 days. Mrs. Nusbaum was the widow of George W. Nusbaum, who died in 1930. She was born in Harrison township Sept. 6, 1861, a daughter of John and Mary Roose. The last of 12 children, Mrs. Nusbaum is survived only by nephews and nieces. One of the surviving nephews is Rayburn Snyder, Goshen contractor. The body is at the Culp funeral home and funeral services will be held there Saturday at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. M.D. Stutsman will officiate and burial will be in Yellow Creek cemetery.
