[56] The tract was adjoining Nicholas Tinges and Henry Ackey. [57]

Research Notes:

Mennonite card file cites Heidleberg, perhaps a location for Henry. [58]

A genealogy of the Meiser family reported that Elizabeth Meiser married Henry Hoffman, perhaps based on the 1749 deed cited above. [59]

There was a Henry Hoffman, married to Christina, living in York County, who died 1774, with son Adam Hoffman. [60] We seek further evidence about the relationship, if any, among these Hoffman families.

Henry Hoffman's tract of land might be Achey's Corner, in Heidelberg Twp, north of Shafferstown, shown on an 1860 map of Lebanon County. See the deed dated 1774 to Henry Ackey.

1749-1765 There were several surveys made of tracts adjacent to that of Henry Hoffman:

1753 On 30 June, Survey to Andrew Elick in right of George Herold for a warrant dated 1751 of 219 acres in Heidelberg Twp. [61] Adjacent Bastian Rudey [62], Henry Hoffman [63], vacant [64].

1753 On October 22, Survey to Hieronymus Troutman for 43 acres in Heidelberg Twp. [65] Adjacent George Herold [66], Henry Hoofman [67], and others.

1762 Isaac Meyer surveyed land that was warranted in 1758. [68]. Adjacent Nicholas Miller [69], Vacant [70], Eronamus Troutman [71] [72] [73], Henry Hoofman [74] [75]

1750 Land was surveyed (undated) for Nicholas Miller for a warrant by Samuel Rhoads dated 1750. [76]. Adjacent Henry Hoffman, Jacob Greider, and others.

1765 Land was surveyed for Philip Maurer on June 14. [77] Adjacent Henry Kring [78], John Tenes, vacant [79]

Other researchers have named Mary Hoffman, spouse of Henry Bowman, as a daughter of this couple. We show the same, for the daughter Mary named in the documents cited above, and seek documentation about this possible relationship.
