1916 Carl Seger, age 33, and Agnes Emelia Fred, age 18, sailed from Göteborg och Bohus, Sverige (Gothenbury, Sweden) on August 29 on the ship Järnväg. Their destination was Bergen, Norway, and then New York, NY. Carl had been living in Amerika; Agnes had been living in Segerstad Skc. [1]

1916 Carl Seger (age 33) and Agnes Emelia Fred (age 18) both from Segerstad, Sweden, sailed from Bergen, Norway, on August 31 and arrived in New York on September 9 on the ship Bergensfjord. Carl's occupation was laborer; Agnes' occupation was domestic. Carl's nearest relative in Sweden was his mother Christina Seger in Segerstad, Stenstorp. Agnes' nearest relative in Sweden was her mother Anna Fred, also in Segerstad, Stenstorp. Carl's intended destination was Foedville, N.D., where he intended to join his sister Clara Persson. He had previously been in the U.S. in 1902 in Tolna, N.D. Carl's height was 5 feet 6 inches. He had dark hair and blue eyes. He was born in Segerstad, Skaraborg, Sweden. Agnes' intended destination was Arnot, Pa., where she intended to join her aunt Carolina Larsson, in Arnot, Tiogo Co. Agnes' height was 5 feet 6 inches. She had light hair and blue eyes. 1918 Carl Ludvig Seger registered for the draft at the Grand Forks County Court House, in Grand Forks, North Dakota, on September 12. His address was R.D.#2, Fordville, Walsh County, North Dakota. His nearest relative was his wife Agnes Amelia Fred at the same address. His occupation was farming. His height was 5 feet 7 inches, build medium, eyes blue, and hair dark brown. [4] [5]

1920 In the U.S. Census on February 19, Carl C. Seger (age 26) and his wife Agnes A. Seger (age 22) lived in Elkmount Township, Grand Forks County, North Dakota with daughter Edith E. (age 1). Carl and Agnes were born in Sweden as were their parents. Edith was born in North Dakota. Carl was a farmer on a general farm. He immigrated in 1902 and was naturalized in 1918. Agnes immigrated and was naturalized in 1916. Both could read and write. They owned their home with a mortgage. [6]

1930 In the U.S. Census on April 24, Carl L. Sager (age 47) and his wife Agnes (age 33) lived at 5613 35 Av So. in Minneapolis, Hennipen County, Minnesota, with daughters Lylas, (age 9), Helen (age 8), and sons Ralph (age 6), Arthur (age 4 4/12), and Kenith (age 2 6/12). Carl and Agnes and their parents were born in Sweden, Lylas, Helen and Arthur were born in North Dakota, and Arthur and Kenith were born in Minnesota. Carl was a janitor in the steel machinery industry. [7]

1940 In the U.S. Census, Carl Seger (age 56) and his wife Agnes Seger (age 42) lived at 3936 37th Avenue So., Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, with daughter Helen (age 17), sons Ralph (age 15), Arthur (age 14), and Kenneth (age 12), daughter Joyce (age 9), and son Paul (age 7). Carl and Agnes were born in Sweden. Helen and Ralph were born in North Dakota. Arthur, Kenneth, Joyce, and Paul were born in Minnesota. The family lived in the same place in 1935. Carl's occupation was Janitor in a Steel Works; Agnes occupation was Janitress in an Ofice Building. [8]

1960 Carl L. Seger died on 27 January in San Bernadino, California. His mother's maiden name was listed as Peterson and his birth date as 14 August 1884 [9]. He was buried in Missouri Flat Cemetery, Applegate, Jackson County, Oregon, with inscription [10]

1983 Agnes E. Seger died on November 29 in Crow Wing County, Minnesota. Her birth date was listed as 21 January 1898. [11] [12] The Social Security Death Index lists her last residence as Crosby, Crow Wing, Minnesota [13]. Agnes Seger was buried in Missouri Flat Cemetery, Applegate, Jackson County, Oregon, with inscription [14]

2002 Ralph Clifford Seger, born May 25, 1924, died March 10, 2002, is buried in Missouri Flat Cemetery, Applegate, Jackson County, Oregon, with inscription "US Navy WWII." [15]
