1369 "Charter of Thomas son of Thomas Drakelowe, giving with warranty to John Ragon knight and John de Merton parson of Great Brykhull, their heirs and assigns, the manor of Napton with all his lands, rents, services, advowsons, rights and reversions in Napton and Weston. Witnesses: Thomas de Sutton knight, John de Verdoun knight, William de Catesby, John de Catesby, William atte Hurne. Dated Napton, Thursday in Easter week 43 Edward III. Memorandum of acknowledgment at Westminster, 18 April." [1]

1429 "Oliver Groos, John Lynforde and Thomas Stodhagh to Thomas Widevylle of Grafton co. Norhampton esquire, John Barton the younger, John Giffarde and William Fortho, their heirs and assigns. Quitclaim of the manor of Salforde co. Bedford, and other lands etc. in Holcote, Aspele and Seggenho in peaceable possession of the said Thomas and the others, which they, with Reynold Ragoun esquire and John Bosenho both now deceased, had by feoffment of Ankeret Drakelowe who was wife of Thomas Drakelowe knight. Dated 24 November 7 Henry VI. Memorandum of acknowledgment at Norwich on Monday before St. Margaret before William Westbury, by virtue of a dedimus potestatem which is on the chancery file for this year." [2]
