1850 Henry and Lydia Hosler lived in Congress Twp, Morrow County, Ohio with children Levi (age 10), Jacob (age 8), Juliann (age 6), Susan (age 5), Mary A (age 3), and George (age 1). [1] [2]

1860 Henry Hosler and wife Lydia lived in Congress Twp, Morrow County, Ohio with children Jacob (age 17), J (age 16), Susan (age 15), Mary A (age 13), and Geo. W. (age 11), Catharine (age 8), Joanna (age 6), James H (age 1), and Lydia A (age 1). [3] [4]

1862 George Huntsman and Susanna Hosler were married on May 11. Susanna Hosler's father, Henry Hosler, asserted that George Huntsman was 21 years of age and that Susanna had his consent to marry and was a resident of Morrow County, Ohio. 1870 George Huntsman (age 30) and Susan Huntsman (age 25) lived in Green Twp, Noble County, Indiana with children Charlotte Huntsman (age 3) and Elva Huntsman (age 7 months). Almeda Huntsman (age 15) lived with them. [8] [9] [10]

1874 George Huntsman and Susanna Huntsman had land in Green Twp, Noble County, Indiana. [11]

1880 Susan Huntsman (age 35, born in Ohio, married), wife, lived in Green Twp, Noble County, Indiana, in a household with George Huntsman (age 40), Elza M. Huntsman (age 10), Alice M. Huntsman (age 7), and William H. Huntsman (age 3). Susan Huntsman's parents were both born in Pennsylvania. [12] [13]

1889 Daughter Allie [Alice] A Huntsman and Daniel A Harlan were married on December 18 in Wolf Lake, Indiana. Allie A Huntsman, daughter of George Huntsman and Susan A Hosler, was born in Indiana. [14] [15] [16]

1900 Susanah Huntsman (born in Ohio in Mar 1845, married for 37 years), wife, lived in Green Twp, Noble County, Indiana, in a household with George Huntsman (age 59), William H Huntsman (age 24), Emma Huntsman (age 19), Cleo M Huntsman (age 2), Blanche A Huntsman (age 1), Cora M Huntsman (age 17), and Anson D Huntsman (age 13). Susanah Huntsman's parents were both born in Pennsylvania. Susanah Huntsman had had 9 children, 5 still living. [18] [19] Susanna's sister Joanna Green lived nearby.

1904 Susanah Huntsman, married, spouse of George Huntsman, died on January 21, at age 58, in Green Twp, Noble County, Indiana. She was born on March 24, 1845, in Ohio, daughter of Henry R Hosler and Lyda Hosler. [20] [21]

1904 Susanna Hosler Huntsman was buried on January 21, in the Christian Chapel Cemetery in Noble County, Indiana. [22] [23]

1904 An obituary for Susannah Hosler reports:

Huntsman Susanah (Hosler) was born in Morrow County, Ohio, March 24, 1845; and died near Burr Oak January 21, 1904, aged 58 years, 9 months and 27 days. She married George Huntsman May 11, 1862. They had 3 sons and 2 daughters, 4 of whom preceded her in death. She was a member of the Burr Oak F. W. Baptist Church. The crowded house at the church January 24, in one of the bitterest storms of the winter, showed the high esteem she was held by all who knew her. Burial, Christian Chapel Cemetery. New Era 1-27-1904.

1908 Anson L Huntsman, age 21, and Carrie Ann Krieger were married on April 17 in Indiana. Anson L Huntsman, son of George Huntsman and Susanna Hosler, was born on 26 Jan 1887 in Green Twp, Noble County, Indiana. [24] [25] [26]

1911 George Huntsman was buried on February 16, in the Christian Chapel Cemetery in Noble County, Indiana. [27] [28]

A biosketch reports [29]:

George Huntsman was born in Morrow County, Ohio October 27, 1839. He is one of nine children born to Jeremiah and Mary (Painter Huntsman, who were also natives of Ohio. Jeremiah Huntsman was a farmer and pursued that vocation through life. In 1864 he came to Noble County with his family, locating on the old Huntsman farm in Green Township. He died in March 1872. He was a Democrat and an enterprising citizen. His widow survives him and resides on the old place. George Huntsman was reared in Morrow County, Ohio, receiving a common school education. He came to Green Township in 1864 and by frugality and labor has earned a fine home of 105 acres. He was married in May 1861 to Susann Hostler. Their children were Flora, Amanda, Vileta M., Ida C., C. M., Alice and William H. The four oldest are dead. Mr. Huntsman is a Democrat and the family are honored and respected members of society.

1925 Son Elza M. Huntman, widow, spouse of Viola Huntman, died on November 23, at age 56, in Noble, Noble County, Indiana. He was born on October 6, 1869, in Noble co, Ind., son of Geo. Huntman and Susannah Huntman. [30] [31] [32]

1936 Son William H Huntsman, married, spouse of Emmaretta Huntsman, died on October 6, at age 60, in Mew, Noble County, Indiana. He was born on November 25, 1875, in Noble Co Ind, son of George Huntsman and Suzanne Huntsman. [33] [34] [35]

1936 An obituary for son William states [36]:

Huntsman William H was born to George and Susanah Huntsman on Nov. 25, 1875. There were nine children in the family, five of whom together with the parents have died. A brother, Anson; and two sisters, Mrs. Vern Strouse and Mrs. Dan Harlan survive him. He married Emmaretta Ott on Oct 3, 1896. One son, Ross, died as a baby, while 11 children survive. They are Hays, Raymond and Robert, Wilda, Donnabelle, Lydia, Martha, Fern, Mrs. Jim Winebrenner, Mrs. Warren Johnson and Mrs. Rollin Weber. Eleven grandchildren survive. He was a member of the Baptist Church at Burr Oak. His whole life was spent on the farm where he was born. Some time ago he suffered a heart attack, followed by pneumonia, from which he died Oct. 6, being 60 years, 10 months and 11 days of age. Funeral was held from Burr Oak Church Oct. 9. Burial, Christian Chapel Cemetery. + 10-?-1936

1938 Daughter Alice A Harlan, married, spouse of Danial Harlan, died on November 29, at age 67, in Kimmel Twp, Noble County, Indiana. She was born on October 24, 1871, in Indiana, daughter of George Huntsman and Susan Huntsman. [37] [38] [39]

1947 Daughter Cora May Strouse, married, spouse of Vern Strouse, died on January 23, at age 63, in Wolf Lake, Noble County, Indiana. She was born on April 17, 1883, in Noble County, Indiana, daughter of George Huntsman and Susanna Huntsman. [40] [41] [42]

1967 An obituary for their son Anson states [43]:

Huntsman Anson L, about 82, (born 1-26-1887) died Feb. 19, 1967 at McCray Hospital. He was born on the farm where he had lived all his life, a son of George and Susana Hosler Huntsman. He married Carrie Krieger April 1908. She died Jan. 7, 1964. He served two terms as a Noble County commissioner, was a member of the first county selective service draft board, and was one of the original directors and organizers of the Noble County REMC. Surviving are one son, Carl, the owner of the Burr Oak Store; one daughter, Mrs. Nelson (Margaret) Roscoe of Albion; 7 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral was Tuesday at Burr Oak Baptist Church. Burial, Christian Chapel Cemetery. + 2-?-1967
