1699 "The said Thomas Budd as treasurer made his Complaint to the Court that John Hutcheson Collector of part of the provinciall and county tax doth neglect to pay in the Same Whereupon it is ordered that a Warrant shall be issued out for to Levy the same" Dated May 8, at the Burlington County Court. 1699 John Brearley of Maiden Town, Burlington County, yeoman, to John Hutchinson of Hutchinson's Manor, same County, yeoman, for 650 acres, "late appendant to said Manor," above the Falls of Delaware, N. Thomas Hough, S. John Addinton, late Thomas Kirle [Keirl], W. Delaware R., E. grantee. "...abutting on Delaware River westward and on ye eastward on other lands of said John Hutchinson …" Dated November 14. [14]

1699 A deed recorded: John Hutchinson to John Watson and Richard Eayre, both of Burlington County, yeomen, for the preceding tract. Dated November 15. [15]

1700 A deed recorded: John Hutchinson to Andrew Heath, both of Hopewell, Burlington County, yeoman, for 400 acres in said township, between Thomas Kizle on Delaware R., John Brierley and grantor. Dated February 24, 1699/1700. [16]

1700 Discharge. Edward Perrin & County, Bristol, merchants, by their attorney, Richard Johns of Maryland, to John Hutchinson, son and heir of Thomas Hutchinson, from all claims upon his father. Dated September 17. [17]

1700 A deed recorded: John Hutchinson of Hutchinson's Manor, Hopewell Township, Burlington County, to Andrew Heath, township,
yeoman, for 300 acres to be surveyed in West Jersey. Dated December 14. [18]

1701 A deed recorded: John Hutchinson of Hutchinson's Manor, Hopewell Township, Burlington County, to Benjamin ffield of Chesterfield, said County, both yeomen, for 500 acres in Salem County, on Cohansy Road and Gravelly Run, adjoining Thomas Stevenson. Dated January 6, 1700/01. [19] This tract of 2,000 acres, purchased by Thomas Hutchinson from John Fenwick on 30 April 1675, was situated on the Cohansey River in Salem County and was sold in four lots of 500 acres each by his son, John Hutchinson, on January 6th, 1700/01.

1701 A deed recorded: John Hutchinson of Hutchinson's Manor, Hopewell Township, Burlington County, to Samuel Wright of Nottingham Township, same County, both yeomen, for ico acres in Nottingham Township, on the Back Run, between Mathew Grange and Caleb Wheatley; also 50 a. on the same run, between Henry Scott and Mathew Grange. Dated 22'nd d. 11'th m. (January), 1700/01. [20]

1701 A deed recorded: John Hutchinson of Hopewell conveyed to Benjamin Field of Burlington Town, 1/12 of ? equal parts as per recital in a 1728 deed of William Coate (Hunterdon County). Dated February 14.

1701 John Hutchinson was on the Grand Jury; Stephen Willson Constable of Hopewell made answer that he Summoned the inhabitants who mett at the place appointed but refused to chuse Assessors or Collectors, excepting Joshua Ely, John Hutchinson, Thomas Hough and himself (said Constable) who were willing to chuse; Dated February 20, 1700/01. 1701 A deed recorded: Thomas Stevenson junior of Newtown, Queens County, New York, to Samuel Bowne of fflushing, same County, both yeomen, for the 1,000 acres bought of John Hutchinson (supra, p. 685). Dated March 24, 1700/01. [22]

1701 Return of Survey to Thomas Hutchinson, deceased, for the accommodating of the 2,000 acre tract, of 500 acres bought by Benjamin Field of John Hutchinson, on Stow alias Unknown Creek, near Bradwayes lower corner. Dated December 17. [23]

1701 "In Bucks County, PA land records, Vol 2, Page 67, a deed reads "Andrew Heath and his wife, Elizabeth; John Hutchinson and wife Joyce by her maiden name Venables; and Frances Venables, young woman", all of Hopewell Twp, Burlington County, NJ sold for 50 pounds to Peter Worrall of Bucks County, yeoman, 220 acres lying in Makefield Twp, part of land formerly of William Venables, deceased and his relict Elizabeth, now Elizabeth Heath. Acknowledged: 2nd mo. 1701, Witnesses - John Bainbridge, John Knowles, William Emley, Joseph Clows and James Hargroves. Recorded - 8 Sept 1702." [24]

1702 John Hutchinson and wife Joyce (nee Venables) join in deed of heirs of William Venables, deceased, for land in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. John Hutchinson was of Hopewell, Burlington County, NJ [Bucks Co Deed - 3:67].

1702 John Hutcheson aids Joshua Ely settle a debt with the witnesses to the settlement being John Ely and Joyce Hutcheson, who signed the agreement. Dated in February. [25]

1702 Came William Beakes and Exhibited into Court a Certaine Bill against John Hutchinson of a Plea of Debt which bill followeth in these words Burlington to wit Said John Hutchinson of the County of Burlington yeoman was Summoned to answer William Beaks of a Plea that he render unto him the Summe of fourteen pounds … which to him he Oweth and from him unjustly detaineth etc. … Dated 3rd November. 1702 To the Sheriffe of the County of Burlington … We Command You that the goods and Chattles of John Hutcheson of the Township of Hopewell in the County of Burlington aforesaid yeoman in Our Bailywick you Cause to be Levied as well A Certaine Debt of … Money of this Province of West New Jersey which William Beakes of the County of Bucks in the Province of Pencilvania in Our Court of Common Pleas held before our Justices thereof at Burlington aforesaid the Twentieth day of February Next … whereof the Said John Was Convict and that you have then and there this Writt Wittnesse Our Hand and County Seale at Burlington aforesaid … Mahlon Stacy, Thomas Gardner upon which the Sheriffe made a Returne in these words - Burlington 17th December 1792 Levied the Summe within Mentioned and have it all ready payd it to Plaintiff by Consent of Defendant, Henery Grubb Sheriffe. Dated 5th November. [27]

1703 John Hutchinson of Hopewell, county of Burlington, New Jersey … conveyed to Andrew Heath, Richard Ayre, Abiel Davis and Zebulon Heston, of the same county, a piece of land on the easterly side of the highway leading between the house of the said John Hutchinson and Andrew Heath… containing two acres, in trust for the inhabitants of the said township of Hopewell … for the public and common use and benefit of the whole township, for the erecting and building a public meeting house thereon, and also for a place of burial … Thus began a church of the Protestant religion and Church of England. The burial place and the church where located on what is now the Trenton Psychiatric Institution, Ewing Twp., New Jersey, a suburb of Trenton, NJ. Dated April 20.

1704 John Hutchinson of Hutchinson Manor, Hopewell, NJ (acc. to recital in 1704 deed of Nathan Allen) conveyed to Benjamin Field of Chesterfield 1/12 of 1/10 share of West Jersey, with other lots belonging to same and also 300 acres allowance for highways. (Land along the Delaware River.) Dated February 12 & 14. [West Jersey Deed AAA:67]

1704 John Hutchison, of Hopewell, Burlington County, yeoman, dated his will on April 10. Wife Joyce. Children: Marmaduke, Isaac, Elizabeth; legacies to brother-in-law Zebulon Heston and wife Dorothy, to sister Hannah. Home farm on Physick Creek, land adjoining Andrew Heath and other real property. Personal estate. Executors the wife and Thomas Lambert of Nottingham. Witnesses Roger Parke, Andrew Heath, William Emley senior. Proved June 6, 1704. [28] Note that Thomas Lambert was also the executor of the estate of Thomas Hutchinson.

1704 John Hutchinson of Hutchinson Manor, died, in what was then called Hopewell, Burlington County [now known as Ewing Township, Mercer County, New Jersey. Between April 10, 1704 and June 6, 1704.

1704 The inventory of the personal estate of John Hutchison was valued at £355.2.4, including bonds of Andrew Heath, Nathaniel Wade, Daniel Howel, Moses Pettet, Daniel Meg Daniel, James Harpens, John Knowes and Fetter Hall; made by John Brearly, Zebulon Ashton and Joshua Wright. Dated May 9. [29]

1704 Inventory of the personal estate, 355.2.4 pounds, incl. bonds of Andrew Heath, Nathaniel Wade, Daniel Howel, Moses Pettet, Daniel & Meg Daniel, James Harpens, John Knowes and Petter Hall; made by John Bearly, Zebulon Ashton and Joshua Wright. Dated May 9.

1704 Jonathan David of Hopewell Township to Susannah Adams of Hopewell Township, widdow … within Hopewell Township and part of a tract called The Society, consisting of 30,000 acres plus 500 additional acres purchased by Jonathan Davis of Thomas Revell as agent to the Society … beginning at a tree for a corner in the line on the rear of the land late John Hutchinsons Mannor … Dated June 7. [West Jersey Deeds, Book AA, page 52].

1705 Marmaduke, Isaac, and Elizabeth Hutchinson were baptized on February 27, at the Hopewell Church, Burlington County. 1705 Joyce Hutchinson, executor of the estate of John Hutchinson, of Hopewell, New Jersey sold 30 acres to James Harpin. Witnessed by William Emley, Edward Kenys, William Wardell, and John Ely. Dated April 14. [30]

1705 Isaac Hutchinson, son of John and Joyce (Venables) Hutchinson, baptized with brothers and sisters at Hopewell, by the rector of St. Mary's Protestant Episcopal Church, Burlington, NJ. Dated September 27.

1705 "in the Register of St. Mary's (P.E.) Church, Burlington, NJ, is the following entry made by Rev John Talbot, Rector in 27 September 1705: "Hopewell Chappel Church - Marmaduke, Isaac, and Eliz: Hutchinson John, Andrew Eliz: & and Sarah Heath, & Joseph Tyndall [Tindall], Baptized 7 bris 27." [St. Mary's Church Register] The first three of these were the children of John and Joyce Hutchinson. The succeeding four were probably the children of Andrew Heath, ...: and the last named Joseph Tindall, was doubtless the son of Thomas & Isabel. Hopewell Chappel Church, was the scene of these baptisms." [31]

1729 The Isaac Hutchinson bible records the birth of Thomas Hutchinson on the Seventh day of July and sixth day of the week ... The son of Mary and Isaac Hutchinson, the son of John Hutchinson. John Hutchinson, the son of Thomas Hutchinson Senr. Anno. Dom. 1729. [32]

A different John Hutchinson [34], of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, married twice, to Sarah Burgess and Phebe Kirkbride, and died about 1745.
