1842 Madeira, W. J., Dr. (Physician, Dentist, Drs. Madeira and Young) Vine Corner 7th, Cincinnati, Ohio was listed in the 1842 Cincinnati Directory, page 329. [2]
1850 W J Madeira (age 42, born Pennsylvania) and M E Madeira (age 30, born New Jersey) lived in Manchester, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania with children William J Madeira (age 14, born Ohio), Martha Madeira (age 10, born Pennsylvania), Sidney P Madeira (age 3, born Kentucky). [3]

1885 The will of Mary E. Madeir of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania was dated December 27, 1883. Daughter Mary P Whiteside inherited the entire estate. The will was filed on February 10, 1885. [9]
1921 Martha Whitesides died on March 8, at age 79, in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. She was born in 1842 in Pennsylvania, daughter of W J Madeira and Mary Elizabeth Page. [10]
