1917 Robert P. Chevalley, son of Paul and Milca (L'Eplattenier) Chevalley, was born on January 12 in Alton, Illinois. [1] [2]

1920 Imogene Logan was born on October 26 in Carrolton, Illinois. [3] [4] [5]

Robert Chevalley received a B.S. degree from Washington Universtiy, St. Louis, Illinois. He was a chemist.

1952 Robert P. Chevalley and Imogene Logan were married on September 13 in Carrollton, Illinois. [6] [7]

1952 The Alton Evening Telegraph reported on September 26, [8]

Mr. and Mrs. Chevalley Return to Alton
Mr. and Mrs. Robert P. Chevalley returned Wednesday from a trip through southern and eastern states. They traveled through the Smoky Mountains, and in Akron, O., were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Chevalley.
Mr. and Mrs. Chevalley were recently married at Carrollton. Mr. Chevalley is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Chevalley, and Mrs. Chevalley is the former Imogene Logan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Logan Sr., of Carrollton. For the next three months they will reside at the home of the bridegroom's parents, 824 McKinley Blvd.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Chevalley left by plane this morning for a three months' vacation in France and Switzerland. While in Switzerland they will visit Mr. Chevalley's mother, Mrs. Irma Chevalley, who will obseve her 85th birthday in November. They also will visit other relatives while in Europe.

1994 Robert P. Chevalley died on on 19 November 19. The Social Security Death index lists his last residence as Jersey, Illinois. [9] An obituary states, [10]

Chatauqua - Robert Chevalley, 77, died at 7:50 p.m. Saturday, Mov. 19, 1994, at St. Clare's Hospital in Alton.
A graduate of Shurtleff College in Alton, he was employed as a chemist for Shell Oil Co. in Wood River, retiring after 33 years.
Born Jan. 12, 1917, in Alton, he was a son of the late Paul and Milca (L'Eplattenier) Chevalley.
A board member for the New Piasa Chatauqua, he also served as moderator for the First Congregational Church of Alton, where he was a member.
He married Imogene Logan on Sept. 13, 1952, in Carrollton. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Thomas of Brighton and Lawrence of Ottervelle; six grandchildren, Christina, David, Thomas, Jonathan, Michelle and Jessica Chevalley; and a sister, Irma Niedernhofer of Largo, Fla.
A brother, Louis D. CVhevalley preceded him in death. …

1998 Imogene L. Chevalley died on 15 August. The Social Security Death Index lists her last residence as Jersey, Illinois. [11] An obituary states, [12]

Chatauqua - Imogene L Chevalley, 77, died at 12:20 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, 1998, at St. Anthony's Health Center in Alton.
Born Oct. 26, 1920, in Carrolton, she was a graduate of Carrollton High School and a member of the First Congregational Church in Alton.
She married Robert P. Chevalley Sept. 13, 1952, in Carrollton.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas L and Julie Chevalley of Brighton and Larry L and Evelyn Chevalley of Grafton; six grandchildren: two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Irene Shannon and Mary Koster, both of Carrollton; one brother, Manford Logan of Mount Vernon; and two sisters-in-law, Judy Chevalley and Irma Niedernhofer.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Gent Funeral Home in Alton, where services will be at 1 p.m. Monday with the Rev. David Cox officiating.
Burial will be in Upper Alton Cemetery in Alton.
Memorials may be made to the Chatauqua Memorial Fund.

Madison County, Illinois: Imogene L. Chevalley, 77, of Chautauqua, died Aug. 15, 1998, in Saint Anthony's. Her husband, Robert, preceded her in death. Surviving are sons, Thomas of Brighton, and Larry of Grafton; a brother, Manford Logan of Mount Vernon; and sisters, Irene Shannon and Mary Koster, both of Carrollton. Services were in Gent. Memorials may be given to the Chautauqua Memorial Fund.
