1086 "Wimer Dapifer. Norman, Domesday tenant of William de Warenne, dapifer of William II. de Warenne, whose charters he attested as late as c. 1130. In a charter for Castle Acre priory Osmund de Stuteville, husband of his great-grand-daughter Isabel, referred to him as 'Wimar seneschal de Gressinghale', Gressinghall being one of the manors he held in 1086. By his wife Gila he left two sons, Roger and Walter. Charters for Castle Acre also give him tow 'nepotes', Geoffrey and Swalo. He ended his life as a monk of Castle Acre. His heir in 1129/30 was his grandson William fitz Roger. Cf. Farrer, HKF iii, 395-6." [1]
