1086 "Radulf De Caisned. Norman, from Le Quesnay, Seine-Maritime, arr. Neufchâtel, cant. and comm. Saint-Saëns (Loyd, 27-8), Domesday tenant of William de Warenee and others. His wife Matilda predeceased him and he made grants for her soul to Lewes priory. He was succeeded in the early twelfth century by his son William, and eventually by the issue of his son Ralph; father also of Hugh and Sibil, wife of Robert fitz Walter de Caen." [1]
