Research Notes:
A 1616 pedigree of the Knightley family states "Johannes de Sancto Johanne de Hameldon" married "Juliana, filia Radulphi Taillard. Gules two bars argent a canton ermine, impaling quarterly argent and sable a cross patonce counterchanged." [1]
Hameldon, now Hambleton, is in Rutland. [2]
