1774 David Curtis, son of John was named executor in the will of David Curtis, son of David. [1]

1783 David Curtis, of Shrewsbury Township, Monmouth County, yeoman; dated his will on 22 August. The burying-ground on my plantation, to be always reserved for that purpose, and, if any person has friends or kindred buried there, they may take rails off the place to mend the fence around the same, let the place belong to whom it may. Son, Elisha, lands I bought of John Curtis and Thomas Tilton, Executors of Herbert Curtis, except a right of beech in Lawrence's survey, and, if he have no heirs, then to my sons. John and Benjamin; and, if Elisha die before his wife, Deborah, she is to have possession. Daughter, Lydia Ellison, a meadow. Daughter, Elizabeth Stout, a small right bought of John Curtis and Thomas Tilton, lying on Manasquan Beech. Sons, John and Benjamin, rest of lands. Wife, Elizabeth, the moveable estate that she brought. Executors—son, John, and Lewis Ellison. Witnesses—Thomas Curtis, Joseph Lawrence, Jr., William Morton. Proved April 20, 1790. [2]
