1700-1708 Joseph Moore, fourth son of Benjamin and Sarah (Stokes) Moore, was born in Burlington. [1] [2] Joseph Moore died in 1786 at age 78. [3] [4]

1718 On 27 of month 10, Patience Woolman, daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Woolman, was born. [5] [6]

1738 On 17th day, 3rd month, Joseph Moore, son of Benjamin Moore of Evesham, and Patience Woolman, daughter of Samuel Woolman of Northampton, married in Northampton Twp, Burlington County [7] [8]. Joseph Moore married Patience Woolman. Patience Woolman was the daughter of Samuel Woolman and Elizabeth [9] [10] [11] [12]. Their children were named in church records [13] [14].

The names and birthdates of the children of Joseph and Patience Moore were recorded in Evesham Quaker meeting records. [15]

1745 Joseph Moore was a freeholder in Evesham Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey. [16]

Joseph Moore built a house on Bull's Head Road near Rancocas Creek about two miles below Lumberton, New Jersey. [17]

1786 The will of Joseph Moore, yeoman, of Evesham Twp, Burlington County, was dated April 1 and proved June 7, 1786. Named wife Patience; daughter Patience Wane; sons Uriah, John, and Cyrus; brother Benjamin. Witnesses Joseph Moore, Uriah Woolman. Inventory October 7, 1786 valued at pounds 299.16 made by Bethuel Moore and Robert Engle. [18]

1786 On 11 of month 5, Joseph Moore died, at age 78, at Evesham Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey. [19] [20] [21]

1789 On 23 of month 4, Cyrus Moore, son of Joseph Moore of Evesham, deceased, married Mary Austin, daughter of Jonathan Austin, deceased. Witnessed by Patience Moore, Benjamin Moore, Uriah Moore, and others. [22] [23]

1790 The will of son Uriah Moore of Evesham Twp was dated 9 January and administered by Cyrus Moore with fellowbondsman Uriah Woolman. Inventory Bethuel Moore and Joseph Engle. Witness Thomas Hewlings. [24]

1791 The will of Patience Moore of Evesham Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey, widow of Joseph Moore was dated Aug 4 and proved May 7, 1795. Names daughter Patience Waney and son Cyrus. Witnesses Mary Sharp, Chalkley Rakestraw and William Woolman. Inventory March 6, 1795 value pounds 156.1.3 made by John and Bethuel Moore. [25]

A biosketch of Joseph Moore reports [26]:

Joseph, fourth son of Benjamin and Sarah (Stokes) Moore, was born about 1700, in Burlington, and resided in that vicinity. He married Patience Woolman, born October 27, 1718, daughter of Samuel (2) and Elizabeth Woolman, a granddaughter of Samuel (1) Woolman, who was a son of John and Elizabeth (Borton) Woolman, the progenitors of the Woolman family of New Jersey. The last named was the daughter of John and Ann Borton, progenitors of a numerous family of that name. They came from the parish of Aynhoe in Northamptonshire, England. Joseph Moore's children: Mary, born September 3, 1740; Elizabeth, July 13, 1744; Patience, November 8, 1750; Uriah, November 8, 1753; Jona, April 6, 1758; Cyrus, mentioned below; and John.
