1821 Aaron Schooley and Pamela Howell were married on February 24, 1821 in Sussex County, New Jersey. [1] [2]

1840 Aaron Schooley lived in Stillwater Twp, Sussex County, New Jersey in a household with males: 1 (5 thru 9), 1 (10 thru 14), 1 (15 thru 19), and 1 (40 thru 49); and females: 2 (under 5), 1 (5 thru 9), 1 (10 thru 14), 1 (15 thru 19), and 1 (30 thru 39). Joseph and Benj(ami)n Schooley were jointly listed in one household adjacent. [3]

1848 Joseph Schooley, age 20, son of Aaron Schooley, married Julia Ann Grover, age 16, daughter of Philip Grover, on September 30, in Stillwater, Sussex County, New Jersey. [4]

1848 Rebecca Schooley, daughter of Aaron Schooley, married David Emmans on December 7, in Stillwater, Sussex County, New Jersey. [5]

1850 Aaron C. Schooley (age 50), laborer, was listed in the household of George Keen, in Stillwater, Sussex County, New Jersey. [6]

1850 George Schooley (age 6, born in New Jersey) lived in Stillwater Twp, Sussex County, New Jersey, in a household with George A Vanhorn (age 34), Martha E Vanhorn (age 26), John Depue (age 17), and Louisa Schooley (age 11). [7]

1853 George V. Schooley, son of Aaron and Permelia Schooley died on February 18, at age 8, in Stillwater, Sussex County, New Jersey. [8]

1860 Aaron Schooley (age 61, born in New Jersey) lived in Newton Twp, Sussex County, New Jersey, in a household with Catherine Schooley (age 41), Georgiana Schooley (age 5), Rhoda Schooley (age 3), Anson C Schooley (age 2), and Daniel A Schooley (age 3/12). [9]

1870 Aaron C. Schooley (age 71) lived in Andover Twp, Sussex County, New Jersey with Catharine Schooley (age 49), Daniel A Schooley (age 10) and Harriet Schooley (age 7). [10] [11]

1874 On 24 November, the inventory of the estate of Aaron C Schooley was filed by John Schooley, administrator. [12] [13]

1910 On 25 July, Joseph Schooley, son of Aren Schooley and Permelia Howell, died at age 81 in Springfield, Oakland, Michigan. [14]

Schooley, son of Joseph, married Permelia Howell, Permelia was a twin of Cornelius Howell, who married Sarah Bale and removed to Canada, and a daughter of Mr. (???) Howell and his wife Rebecca Peters. They dwelt at first in Hampton township, but afterward removed to Stillwater. Ten children:

I. John, b. June 17, 1822; d. March 11, 1877; m. Martha Huff.
II. Elizabeth, deceased; m. Rev. George A. Van Horn; no issue.
III. Rebecca, b. May 24, 1825; living (1901); m. David Emmans.
IV. Susan, b. February 10, 1827; living (1901); m. Jacob Roof.
V. Joseph, b. November 14, 1828; living (1898); m. Julia Groover.
VI. Mary C., b. in 1832; m. Elijah Hankinson.
VII. Augustus C., m. Ella Smith; lived in Chicago.
VIII. Elmira, living (1901) at Centerville, N. J.; m. Anson B. Kintner.
IX. Louisa, deceased; m. Dr. Charles Hand.
X. Catherine, deceased; m. Edwin Bevans.
After the death of Permelia, Aaron married Katherine Dennis, and had seven children:
XI. Stephen.
XII. Georganna, who married Harrison Bedell, and dwells at Middletown, N. Y.
XIII. Rhoda, who married, first, William Smith, and, second, Jacob Westbrook of Hainesville, N. J.
XIV. Aaron.
XV. Daniel, who died unmarried in 1898.
XVI. Harriet, who married Thomas Shay of Andover, N. J.
XVII. William, who died at the age of two years.
