His spouse Fanny M., age 40, was born in Canada. There children were daughters Ellen C., age 6, and George A. G. L., age 5, and sons William A., age 3, and Henry T., age 2, all born in Canada, and daughter Fanny A., age 5 mon, born in Strathaven, Lanarkshire.

W.P. was the pastor of a Congregational church. He was born in Scotland as were his parents. Fannie was born in New Brunswick, her father in Canada and her mother in Nova Scotia.
