1839 Governor Reuben Chapman married, in her father's country house in Limestone county [Alabama] in 1839 to Felicia, daughter of Colonel Steptoe and Sarah (Chilton) Pickett, who were natives of Fauquier county, Virginia. [1] [2]

1850 Reuben C Chapman (age 56, born in Virginia) lived in Huntsville, Madison County, Alabama, in a household with Felessia Ann Chapman (age 27), Steptoe S Chapman (age 10), Juderth D Chapman (age 6), and Felecce Chapman (age 2). Reuben C Chapman was a farmer. [3]

1860 Gov. Reubin Chapman (age 60, born in Virginia) lived in District 1, Madison County, Alabama, in a household with Felicia Chapman (age 40), Steph Chapman (age 19), Juliett Chapman (age 15), Felicia Chapman (age 13), Roturtia Chapman (age 10), Ella Chapman (age 8), and Reubin Chapman (age 1). Reubin Chapman was a lawyer. [4]

1870 Felicia Chapman (age 50) and Reubin Chapman (age 66) lived in Huntsville, Madison County, Alabama. They were both born in Virginia. Also listed were Juliette Chapman (age 25), Felicia Chapman (age 21), Alberta Chapman (age 17), and Reubin Chapman (age 12). [5]

1870 Felicia A. Chapman, wife of Reuben Chapman, died on October 28 and was buried at Maple Hill Cemetery, Huntsville, Madison County, Alabama. Felicia was born on February 19, 1819. [6]

1880 Reuben Chapman (age 70, born in Virginia, widower) lived in Huntsville, Madison County, Alabama. Reuben Chapman's parents were both born in Virginia. Reuben Chapman was a ex-governor. [7]

1882 Reuben Chapman died on May 17 and was buried at Maple Hill Cemetery, Huntsville, Madison County, Alabama. Reuben Chapman was born on July 15, 1799. [8]
