A summary of The Lords of Watford Manor and estate [5]:

Joan Comberford nee Parles (1447-1504) Joan married John Comberford (1426 - 1508) at an unknown date. John was the son of Joan's Ward (William Comberford). In 1472 they had a son: Thomas Comberford (1472 - 1532). In 1504, after his wife had died, John Comberford, together with his son Thomas and daughter-in-law Dorothy, sold the former Parles estates in Stoke Bruerne, Shutlanger, Alderton and Wappenham to Richard Empson of Easton Neston. However, the estate of Watford remained within the family and was inherited by Thomas in 1508 when John Comberford died.
