1768 William Meakins was baptized in the parish church of St. Andrew, Hornchurch, Essex, England. "1768. Meakins - William, son of William & Rebecca 18. Sep." [1]

1796 At Ingrave, St Nicholas, Essex "William Meakins of this parish bachelor and Hannah Hodges of the parish of Hornchurch Spinster were married in this church by Lincence this 1st of Decr 1796." [2]

1799 "Rebecca Daughter of Willm &Hannh" Meakins was baptized on May 26 at Ingrave, St Nicholas, in Essex, England. [3]

1802 In his will written on April 15, Williams' father William Meakins bequeathed an annuity to "my son William Meakins ... for the joint and natural lives of himself and his present wife Hannah" and if William should die the principal stock to "my Grand Daughter Rebecca Meakins, the Daughter of my said Son William" at age 21. [4] [5]

1803 Williams' wife Hannah died in August and was buried in Hornchurch, Essex, England. "Burials … 1803 … Meakins, Hannah Augt 26th." [6]

1805 At St Mary the Virgin, Great Baddow, Essex, "William Meakins of this parish widower and Sarah Eleanor Vaughn of this parish spinster were married in this church by license this twelfth Day of November in the Year One Thousand eight Hundred and five by me Alex Longmore Vicar. This marriage was solemnized between us Wm Meakins, Sarah Eleanor Vaughn, her mark. In the presence of Joseph Anderson, Elizabeth Mary Luckhurst, S(?). Simmens." [7]

1806 "Charles William Meakins Son of William Meakins and Sarah Ellener his wife was born May the 25 1806 and Admitted into Christs Flock this 31st of January 1807 At Havering atte Bower." [8]

1810 Charles William Meakins was mentioned in the will of Mary, the widow of his grandfather William Meakins. [9] [10]

Research Notes:

Evelyn Miles Krase wrote that Charles William Meakins was born in Rumford, Essex and that his father's name was William. [11] The birthday list written by Edwin George Schafer lists "C. W. Meakins May 25, 1806." [12]

1748 "Mariana ye wife of Thomas Chip" was buried December 30 in Kingsland, Herefordshire, England. [18]

1749 "Thomas Chipp" was "buried May 16" in Kingsland, Herefordshire, England. [19]

1770 "Thomas Vaughan And Sarah Chip Were Maried October 25th by Banns" in Kingsland, Herefordshire, England. [20]

1771 "Elizabeth the Daughter of Thomas and Sarah Vaughan" was baptized "September the 22" in Kingsland, Herefordshire, England. [21]

1774 "Maryanna the Daughter of Thomas and Sarah Vaughan" was "Baptized June the 9th" in Kingsland, Herefordshire, England. [22]

1777 "Sarah Elinor the daughter of Thomas And Sarah Vaughan" was "Baptized the March 2nd in Kingsland, Herefordshire, England. [23]
