1799 John Snider Sen. was taxed for a grist mill, saw mill, house, barn, and 920 acres in Woodbury Twp, Bedford County, Pennylvania. John Snider Jun was taxed with no land. [4]

1800 John Snyder lived in Hopewell and Woodberry Twp, Bedford County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 1 (26 thru 44); and females: 2 (under 10) and 1 (16 thru 25). Widow Winebrenner was listed on the same page of the census. Perhaps this is John Snyder Junior. [6]

1807/8 John Snider Sen., with 1050 acres and 1 grist mill and 2 saw mills, and John Snider Jun with 53 acres were listed for the triennial tax in Woodbury Twp, Bedford County. [12]

1811 John Snider Jun was taxed with 520 +200 acres [13] and John Snider Jun was taxed with 200 acres [14] in Woodbury Twp, Bedford County, Pennylvania.

1839 A final account of the estate of Christian Winebrenner was reported by Andrew Kershaw on May 1. The account listed 7 equal payments to Philip Winebrenner, Christian Winebrenner, Catharine Snyder, Christiana Banrehiser, Sabastiana Winebrenner, Peter Winebrenner and to Jacob Winebrenner's heirs. Jacob' heirs each received one seventh of his share viz widow, John Winebrenner, Mary Barr, Sally Winebrenner, Peter Winebrenner, Joseph Winebrenner, and the heirs of Catharine Snyder. The heirs of Catharine Snyder, viz: Elizabeth Snyder, Andrew Snyder, Sally Snyder, Simon Snyder, John Snyder, and Mary Snyder, each received one sixth of her share. [15]

1816 Some researchers have suggested that John Snyder, spouse of Catherine Winebrenner, died on June 2, 1816. We seek evidence of this possibility. Notes below are likely for more than one person.

1810 Jno Snyder lived in Hopewell Twp, Bedford County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 1 (10 thru 15), 1 (16 thru 25), and 1 (45 and over); and females: 1 (10 thru 15) and 1 (45 and over). [16]

1816 An undocumented findagrave memorial reports a death for John Snyder with wife Catherine, reporting that John Snyder died on June 2, 1816 and was buried at Wentz United Church of Christ Cemetery, Worcester, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. [17]

1816 An estate record was recorded for John Snyder, of Worcester, dated June 19, 1816. [18]

There are Orphans Court Records concerning John Snyder, who was deceased in 1816. One docket reports "Upon the petition of Charles Sneider only son and heir of John Sneider late of New Hanover Township in the county of Montgomery deceased and Henry Derr who married Catherine the widow of said deceased on behalf of his said wife Setting forth that the said John Sneider died intestate about eighteen years since leaving a widow the said Catharine and issue George Snyder, Jonas Sneider, Frederick and Charles Sneider the firt three named of whom have since deceaed in their minority and without issue …". Dated May 13, 1816. [19]
