1732 On May 11, John May was the security in a case against John Stodghill. [1]

1732 John May brought suit against Wm. Skelton in an action of debt. Dated August 10 and September 14. [2]

1734 On 11 April, John May acknowledged his deeds of lease and release of land indented to Benja. Rennolds. [3]

1734 On May 9, It's ordered John Hubbard be overseer of the road in the room of John May. [4]

1734 On 13 June, Susana May petitioned against her husband John May. Dismissed. [5]

1734 On 8 November, the last will and testament of John May was presented in court and proved by Wm. Binion one of the witnesses who declared he saw Dorothy Binion and Mary McDaniell, deceased, witness the will. [6]

1734 On 13 December, the last will and testament of John May was further proved by Susanna May executrix therein named. Certificate delayed for want of security. [7]

1734/35 On 10 January, there were several court actions related to the estate of John May. Susannah Boughannan, Mary Pickett, Ruth Booth, Dunkin Boughannan, John Picket Jr, and Daniel Booth acknowledged their deed. John Pickett Jr appeared in court by virtue of a mittimus (summons) from Thomas Buckner Gent. Complaint of Susannah May against John Pickett Jr was dismissed. Susannah May, Thos Buckner Gent, Dunkin Bohannan and Henry Reins acknowledged their bond for the administration of the estate of John May. [8]
