1671/72 John Young and Joanna Lindie were married by March 9 as Joanna Young was named in the will of her father William Lindie on that date. [1]

Wills E. p. 152. Will of William Lindie, Paget, March 9, 1671. Wife Emlen. Daughter Ann. Son William. Daughters Sarah, Bridget, and Joanna Young. Grandaughter Elizabeth Good. Son in law George Good. Daughter Ann, sole Executrix. Mr Henry Moore & Capt. Philip Lea, Overseers. Witnesses: John Stone, Copeland Lea. Proved May 27, 1672.

1678 John Young wrote his will on July 8. [2]

Will of John Young Senr. July 8, 1678 "To Elizabeth Smith & Marie Blew for divers considerations a piece of ground with all that belong to it ... but the house that is upon the land Elizabeth Smith did build it but if they will sell their part let them sell it unto the others but not to a stranger. This is my will as they are heirs to what I bought. John Young. Two daughters Sarah and Rebecca Young. Two children William and Alice Young on account of their good respect to their motherland "from the tow of cedars in the rosemary piece to North side sea ..." Wife executrix. Proved Oct. 1, 1680.

1677 John Young Senior left land undivided between his 2 children William & Alice. Wm. Reynolds wanted to buy it and the Sherif was ordered to choose 4 men to divide same.

1677 On January 24th, John Hubbard, Sheriff, with Ricard Peniston met at the house of Mrs. Joanna Young, widow of John Young, decd. & divided the land to the north side sea, the western half goint to William & the eastern half going to Alice now wife of Jacob Axton. [3] [4]

1680 The will of John Young was proved on October 1. [5]
