John Landis, of the second generation of the old Ephrata stock, was a pioneer farmer. He married a Miss Mohler, and had a patriarchal family of children. Among these were Abraham, who succeeded his father on the old homestead; David, of West Cocalico township; Elizabeth, who married John Shurr (and resided where Jacob W. Landis' tenant house now is); and Jacob.
