1778 John Scott was born. [1]

1798 John Scott married Hannah Eldredge, of Springfield. [2]

1799 Margaret Eldredge, of Springfield Twp, Burlington County, dated her will on June 28. Son, John Eldredge, 1 feather bed, when 21. Daughters, Hannah Scott (wife of John Scott), Elizabeth, Abigail, Mary and Sarah Eldredge, remainder of real and personal divided between them, when 18 or day of marriage. Whereas Jonathan Eldredge, dec'd, derived certain lands to my son, John Eldredge, which in case of his death before 21 was to descend to my 2 oldest daughters; then in that case the said two daughters are to be excluded from division of my estate, the residue to be divided only between my 3 youngest daughters when of age. Executors: my son-in-law, John Scott and kinsmanL Barzillai Ridgway. Witnesses: William Branin, Mary Gaunt and John Ridgway.

1799 Israel Shinn was appointed executor in place of kinsman Barzillai Ridgway in a Codicil dated August 16. Witnesses: William Branin, John Ridgway and Wm. Griffith. Proved Oct. 22, 1799. [3]

1799 An Inventory dated October 11 reported a balance of £804.0.6, made by George Hancock and John Butcher. [4]

1819 Hannah Scott, daughter of Joseph and Martha Scott, and Clayton G. Atkinson were married on October 12 in Monmouth County, New Jersey. Witnessed by John and Hannah Scott and many others. [5]

1854 John Scott died. [6]
