1739 Joseph Scott was born. [1]

1770 Joseph Scott and Hannah Hancock, both of Burlington, were married on May 30. [2] [3]

1775 A distribution was made to Joseph Scott, heir and administrator of Henry Scott for 1/6 share of the legacy of Samuel Scott, who died in his minority. Dated April 5. [4]

1786 Abraham and Joseph Scott made the inventory for the estate of Jacob Shedaker of Burlington County, New Jersey. Dated October 15. [5]

1787 Abraham and Joseph Scott made the inventory for the estate of James Ryan of Burlington Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey. Dated March 14. [6]

1794 Joseph Scott, of Burlington County, dated his will on October 6. Intestate. Administrators: Hannah Scott and Joseph Scott. Fellowbondsman: Joseph Crozer; all of said County. [7] John Scott died in 1794. [8] [9]

1794 Inventory, £2,190.6.5½; made by Daniel Hancock and John Folwell. Dated October 9. [10]

1794 John Scott, of Burlington County. Ward. Son of Joseph Scott, of said County, dec'd. Said ward being out of the Wardship of his Guardian in Soccage, makes choice of Jonathan Scott Guardian. Fellowbondsman: Daniel Hancock; both of said County. Dated December 8. [11]

1795 Joseph Scott and John Scott, only heirs of Joseph Scott, late of Burlington Twp, Burlington County, petitioned the Burlington County Orphans Court, by their guardian Jonathan scott, to order a division of the considerable real estate in Burlington County they had inherited. Dated August 11. [12]

1795 Joseph Scott, Jr., of Burlington County. Ward. Son of Joseph Scott, of said County, dec'd, makes choice of Jonathan Scott. Guardian: Jonathan Scott. Fellowbondsman: Charles Ellis. Dated August 13. [13] [14]

1796 The real estate of Joseph Scott, deceased, was divided, according to a map (not shown), between his minor heirs Joseph Scott and John Scott, under age 21. Dated February 9. The several lots were adjacent to lands of Abraham Scott, Joseph Kemble, and others. A cedar swamp was mentioned. [15]

1798 Joseph Scott, of Mansfield Twp., Burlington County. Intestate, Adm'rs: John Scattergood and Caleb Scattergood. Fellowbondsmen: Nathan Folwell and Abraham Scott; all of said County. Dated May 5. [16]

1798 Inventory, £1104.1.4, made by Benjamin Atkinson and Jonathan Barton. Dated May 19. [17]

1798 Whereas Joseph Scott, sole Executor of Henry Scott, deceased, died intestate; therefore Caleb Costill, of Burlington County, is appointed administrator of Henry Scott, with the will annexed. Fellowbondsmen: Caleb Engle and George Aaronson; both of said County. Dated September 28. [18]
