1743 George Middleton, of Nottingham (son of John, deed, and Esther), and Hannah Fowler, of Chesterfield, dau. of John, dec'd, and Elizabeth Reckless, married at Chesterfield on 29th 10th mo. 1743. Witnesses: Esther, Thomas, John, Abel and Amos Middleton, Elizabeth Reckless, Joseph and Joseph Reckless, Jr., Elizabeth and Joseph Fowler, Marmaduke Watson, John Bunting, Josiah Steward and others. [1] George Middleton was the son of John Middleton and Esther Gilberthorpe. [2] [3] [4]

1777 Phebe Middleton, daughter of George Middleton and Hannah Fowler, married George Justice at Chesterfield Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey. Witnesses likely included several family members. [5]

Research Notes:

George Middleton, one of the twin sons (of John and Esther), born July 12, 1722, was father of Phebe Middleton, who married George Justice, 1777. He married, December 29, 1743, Hannah, daughter of John Fowler, then deceased, and his wife Elizabeth, who had married (second) February 26, 1 740-1, Joseph Reckless. [6] [7]
