"James Babcock III (1612-1679) married Sarah Browne (1616-1665) around 1641 in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. James III was born in Wivenhoe, Essex, England. Sarah (Browne) Babcock was born in Essex, Essex, England. ... Sarah (Brown) Babcock died in Westerly, Washington County, Rhode Island. James Babcock III died in Portsmouth, Rhode Island." [5]
