1732 John Michael was born on October 30, son of John Michael Kitch. [1]

1757 The heirs of Baltzer Francis included daughter Elizabeth, wife of Michael Kitch of Cocalico Twp, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. They settled the estate of Baltzer in 1755 and then sold the land to Jacob Erbe in 1757. The land was next to land of Jacob Wise, perhaps the uncle of Michael, and lands of Henry Landis, John Andreus. Witnessed by George Michael Wise. [2] [3]

1778 Michael Ketch, perhaps this Michael, was taxed in Allen Twp, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.

1786 Michael Ketch, perhaps this Michael, was named as a trustee for the German Lutheran and Calvinist congregation of East Pennsboro and Allen Twp which purchased land from John Stear. [4] [5]

1790 Michael Kitch lived in Eastern Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. [6]

1793 Michael Ketch, perhaps this Michael, was named in a case decided by the United States Supreme Court. [7] This was an action of debt on articles of agreement to pay £135, in two instalments, for lands bought by the defendant from the plaintiff; and in the articles it was stipulated, that the deed of conveyance shall be made to the said Michael Ketch at the first payment. [8]

1800-1804 The will of Kichael Kitch, of Allen Twp, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania was dated May 23, 1800 and was probated November 19, 1804. Named Wife Barbara and six children George, John, Henry, Martin, Catherine and Mary. Son in law Andrew Erminger. Trustee: Adam Brandt. Exs: Andrew Erminger and John Lamb. Wit: Jacob Lesher, Erfort Miller. [9]

Research Notes:

We seek, but have not yet seen, documentation for the marriage to Elizabeth Frantz, which we report based on the 1757 will of Baltzer Francis. Barbara was named as Michael's wife in his 1793 will.
