Notes for William Walter Belville and Ella Mary Knapp

1874 William W. Belville and Ella M. Knapp were married on July 4 by the Rev. R.H.S. Preston in Morristown, Lamoille County, Vermont. Ella was age 19 and her father was Luther Knapp. [1]

1880 W. W. Belville (age 23), a farm laborer, lived in Morristown, Lamoille County, Vermont, with his wife Ella M. (age 23), and children Walter W. (age 2) and infant son born in May 1880. W. W. was born in Vermont, his father was born in Canada and his mother was born in Vermont. Ella and her parents were born in Vermont. [2]

1885 "Morrisville. Will Belville has moved from Elmore to the Bugbee house at the east end of the village." [3]

1889 William Belville, quarryman, was listed in the Business Directory of Washington County, VT, in Barre, off r(oute) 47.

1897 "The following divorce cases have been dismissed without prejudice: ... William W. Belville v. Ella M. Belville; ... Ellen M. Belville v. William W. Belville." [4]

1900 William Belville (age 44) lived in District 218, Barre, Washington, Vermont with his wife Ella (age 47) and sons Frank W., born May 1880 in Vermont (age 20), a granite quarryman, and Elmer V., born Apr. 1881 in Vermont (age 19), a stationary engineer. All could read, write and speak English. William was born Aug 1855 in Vermont. He and Ella had been married 24 years and owned their home with a mortgage. The parents of both were born in Vermont. Ella was born Jan 1853 in Vermont. She had borne 7 children, and 3 were living. [5]

1910 William W. Belville (age 55) a teamster (express wagon), lived on Cassie Street in Graniteville, Vermont with his wife Ella (age 56). Both were born in Vermont with parents born in Vermont. They had been married 34 years. She had borne 7 children, and 3 were living. [6]

1927 William W Bellville, son of Lewis Bellville and Mary Noe, died on March 25 in Washington County, Vermont. [7]. He was buried in Wilson Cemetery, Barre, Washington County, Vermont. The monument inscription for William and Ella states, [8]

1933 Ella Mary (Knapp) Belville died on July 17 at her home a 7 Long in Barre, Vermont. [9] She was buried in Wilson Cemetery, Barre, Washington County, Vermont. [10]
