Samuel had died leaving a widow Elisabeth Meals and children Jacob Meals living near Oil City in Venango County, William Meals living in the state of Missouri, Daniel Meals living in Washington Township, Butler Co; Mary intermarried with Thomas Campbell living in Washington Township, Butler Co; Christopher Meals living in Washington Township, Butler Co; Samuel Meals living in Venango Township, Butler Co; Margaret intermarried with William Grant living in Allegheny Township, Butler Co; and children of Nancy now dead who was intermarried with Elisha Hilliard living in the state of Missouri. 1864 A newspaper notice about the partition announced that the heirs of Samuel Meals (as named in the 1863 Orphan's Court record) should appear at an Orphan's Court at Butler on September 26, to accept or refuse the appraisal and partition of the real estate of Samuel Meals, late of Washington township.
