Notes for John Eayre and Rebecca Rogers

1756 On 20 September, John Eayre and Rebecca Rogers both of Burlington were married. [1]

1740 On the 27 of June, the will of John Rogers Junior, yeoman in the city of Burlington, named wife Sarah and children Isaac and Rebeckah, both under age. The estate included real and personal estate and a Negro boy. Executors: wife and friend Revell Elton. Witnesses: John Deacon, Samuel Laning, and Jos. Scattergood. Proved Aug. 13, 1740. [2]

1764 Elizabeth (under age 18) and Catherine Eayre, children of John and Rebekah Eayre, were named in the will of Rebekah's brother John Rogers. [3]

1778 The will of John Eayre of Northampton Twp, Burlington County was dated 7 July 1778 with inventory 28 Aug. The will of John Eayre named sons Abraham and John, who received all lands. Abraham received the house. John received the plantation in Willingboro in tenure of Benjamin Nayler. Wife Rebecca and daughters Catherine, Rebecca, Priscilla, and Mary received the personal estate. Daughter Elizabeth was provided for at her marriage. Wife Rebecca to have profits of real estate while children are under age. Executors were brother-in-law John Moore and friend John Haines (son of Carlisle). Witnessed by Joseph Burr, Thomas Ellis, Joseph Read. Proved 31 Aug 1778. Inventory made by William Rogers and Job Moore 28 Aug 1778 had balance £801.0.11. [4]
