1779 John Quicksall Jr witnessed the will of Hugh Newell in Nottingham Twp, Burlington County. [1]

1783 On September 6, John Quicksall, Jr., of Nottingham, Burlington County, yeoman, dated his will. The land I bought of Robert Stewart, lying to the northwest of my father's plantation, to be sold. Wife, Elizabeth, £50, some furniture and slaves. Rest of estate to be for the benefit of my 4 children, Aaron, Sarah, John and Elizabeth. Sons to be put to trades when they are 14. If wife have a child, it is to be provided for. Executors: friend, Richard Horsfull, and my father-in-law, John Hunt. Witnesses: Nathan Wright, Zachariah Antram, Joseph Ogborn. Proved Oct. 17, 1783. 1783 On October 10, Inventory, £714.13.9, made by Nathan Wright and Alexander Howard. [4]

1786 At a Monthly Meeting held at Chesterfield 6th, 6 mo, "James Lawrie reports he hath paid the legacy left by John Quicksal to their meeting into the hands of Nathan Middleton one of the overseers as directed some time past, and he is directed to pay it into the hands of the Treasurer and report to next meeting." 1787 On May 16, the Burlington County Orphans Court confirmed the account by John Hunt, executor of the account of John Quicksall Jr, deceased. [6]

"After the deaths of Capt. John Quicksall, Jr., of the Revolutionary War, in 1783 and his wife in early 1784, John Hunt, the father-in-law, took the orphaned Quicksall children to Kentucky. The three Quicksall Girls, Sarah, Elizabeth, and baby Mary, married Kentucky men.
