"Anna Beery. b Dec. 20, 1807, near Edom, Va.; weighed about 300 pounds and during last years was very helpless; d April 15, 1879; Lindale cem. near Edom; m April 17, 182.7, Henry Wenger. b Feb. 3, 1804, near Edom (s Joseph Wenger, b Aug. 8, 1747, Lancaster Co., Pa., d May 1812, Edom, Va.; and Arma (Hochman) Wenger, b Oct. 1764, d Nov. 17, 1847); d Dec. 14, 1888; Lindale cem." "Anna Beery, born near Edom, Rockingham Co., Va., March 20, 1807, died April 15, 1879. Henry Wenger, born near Edom, Va., Feb. 3, 1804, died Dec. 14, 1888. They were married April 17, 1827. Address, Edom, Va. Not members of any church. Aunt Anna (Beery) Wenger was a model woman. What we mean by "model" is for us to imitate her sociability and kindness; especially was she noted for her motherly disposition. She was very fleshy, her weight being about three hundred pounds. During the last years of her life she was very helpless. She and her husband are buried with their fathers and mothers in the Lindale cemetry, north of Edom, Va." [2] [3]

1804 Henry Wenger was born on February 3. [4]

c 1807 Anna Beery was born about this time. The Beery genealogy reports her birth on March 20, 1807. [5] Findagrave reports her birth on December 20, 1808, which corresponds to the reported age at death 71y 4m 2d [hard to read].

1827 Henry Wenger and Anna Beery were married on April 17, at Rockingham County. [6] Anna Beery, daughter of Barbara Kagey and Daniel Beery, married Henry Wenger. [7]

1850 Henry Wenger (age 46, born in Virginia) lived in Rockingham County, Virginia in a household with Ann Wenger (age 42), Elizabeth Wenger (age 22), Ann Wenger (age 13), Barbara C Wenger (age 12), Mary M Wenger (age 7), Lydia F Wenger (age 2), Samuel Smith (age 18), and Abram Gill (age 26). Henry Wenger was a farmer. [8]

1860 Henry Wenger (age 56, born in Virginia) lived in District 1, Rockingham County, Virginia, in a household with Gideon Kratzer (age 50), Julia Kratzer (age 33), Annie Wenger (age 52), Annie Wenger (age 21), Barbara Wenger (age 20), Mary M Wenger (age 18), and Lydia Wenger (age 16). Henry Wenger's occupation was farmer. [9]

1879 Anna Beery Wenger died on April 22, 1879, at age 71y 4m 2d, and was buried at Lindale Mennonite Church Cemetery, Linville, Rockingham County, Virginia. [10]

1880 Henry Wenger (age 76, born in Virginia, widower), father-in-law, lived in Linville, Rockingham County, Virginia, in a household with Abraham Geil (55), Elizabeth Geil (52), Jacob S. Geil (21), David S. Guille (17), and Daniel F. Geil (16). Henry Wenger's parents were both born in Pennsylvania. Henry Wenger was a farmer. [11]

1888 Henry Wenger died on December 14 at Edom, Rockingham County, Virginia and was buried at Lindale Mennonite Church Cemetery, Linville, Rockingham County, Virginia. Henry Wenger was born on February 3, 1804. [12] [13] [14]
