"Anna Beery, born near Edom, Rockingham Co., Va., March 20, 1807, died April 15, 1879. Henry Wenger, born near Edom, Va., Feb. 3, 1804, died Dec. 14, 1888. They were married April 17, 1827. Address, Edom, Va. Not members of any church. Aunt Anna (Beery) Wenger was a model woman. What we mean by "model" is for us to imitate her sociability and kindness; especially was she noted for her motherly disposition. She was very fleshy, her weight being about three hundred pounds. During the last years of her life she was very helpless. She and her husband are buried with their fathers and mothers in the Lindale cemetry, north of Edom, Va." [2] [3]
