1806 "George Kelk of John and Martha" was born on July 31, and he was baptized on October 15 at St Anne Soho, Westminster, London. [1]

1816 "Baptisms solemnized in the Parish of Ste Anne Westminster in the County of Middlesex in the Year 1816. Elizabeth Margaret Marshall, born Nov. 2, baptized Nov. 24, 1816, parents John Joseph and Elizabeth, abode Wardour St, quality, trade or profession Cabinet maker." [2]

1836 George Kelk and Elizabeth Margaret Marshall were married on May 8, at the Scotch Presbyterian Church, St. Gabriel Street, Montréal. Charles Wm. Meakins was a witness. [3]

1838 John George Kelk, son of George and Elizabeth Margaret, was born on April 12 and baptized on May 24 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. [4]

1839 Alfred Kelk, son of George and Elizabeth Margaret, was born on November 26. He was baptized the following year on October 25 in the parish of Saint Pancras, Middlesex, England. The abode of the family was Kensington Place, and George's profession was ironmonger. [5]

1841 In the U.K. Census, George Kelk, age 34, Elizabeth, age 26, and Alfred, age 1, all born in Middlesex, lived in District 16, All Souls and Trinity, St Marylebone, Middlesex. George was an ironmonger.

1841 John George Kelk, son of George and Elizabeth Margaret, was born on August 3. He was baptized on August 22 in the parish of Saint Pancras, Middlesex, England. The abode of the family was Nuthbone(?) Place, and George's profession was ironmonger. [6]

1843 Samuel William Kelk, son of George and Elizabeth Margaret, was born on April 8 and baptized on April 30 in the parish of Saint Pancras, Middlesex, England. The abode of the family was Robert St and George was an ironmonger. [7]

1844 Samuel William Kelk, age 15 months, was buried on June 27 in the Highgate Cemetery St James in the parish of Saint Pancras, Middlesex, England. [8]

1846 Caroline Elizabeth Kelk, daughter of George and Elizabeth Margaret, was born on September 12 and baptized on October 27 in the New Ecclesiastical District of Christ-Church, Bermondsey, in Surrey, England. Her parents lived on Albany Road, Cambewelle, and her father was a gentleman. [9]

1851 In the Canadian Census in Eramosa, Wellington, Ontario, Canada, Alfred Kelk, age 12, and George Kelk, age 10, were in a list of 19 pupils living with a school master and his family. They were born in England and their religion was Church of England.

1870 George Kelk died on September 21 in Hamilton, Wentworth, Ontario. He was age 65, born England, and the cause of death was a disease of the spine, duration many years. His religious denomination was Church of England. [10] [11]

1873 "2 December. The will of George Kelk late of the City of Hamilton in the County of Wentworth and Province of Ontario in Canada Gentleman who died 21 September 1870 at the said City was proved at the Principal Registry by Elizabeth Margaret Kelk of the said City Widow the Relict one of the Executors." [12]
