c1611 Daughter Jane was born (listed first in her father's will among the daughters by his first wife). [1]

1613 Mary, daughter of Thomas and Alice Sherwoode was baptized in Kettle Baston, Suffolk [month and day not recorded]. [2] [3]

1615 "Thomasin daughter of Thomas and Alice Sherwoode" was baptized on April 10 in Kettle Baston, Suffolk. [4] [5] [6]

1616/17 Sarah, daughter of Thomas and Alice Sherwood, was baptized on January 26 in Kettle Baston, Suffolk. [7] [8]

1619 "Anna of Thomas & Alice Shierwood" was baptized on June 13 in Kettle Baston, Suffolk. [9] [10] [11]

1620 Rose, daughter of Thomas and Alice Shierwood was baptized on December 10 in Kettle Baston, Suffolk. [12] [13]

1622 Rebecca daughter of Thomas and Alice Sherewood was baptized on October 13 at Kettle Baston, Suffolk. [14] [15]

c1624 Son Thomas was born (age 10 on ship list on 30 April 1634). [16]

1634 Thomas Sherwood, age 48, his wife Alice, age 47, and children Anna, 14, Rose, 11, Thomas, 10, and Rebecca, 9, were listed as passengers by ship master John Cutting of the ship Francis of Ipswich, Suffolk, England, bound for New England the last of Aprill 1634. [17]

1635 After arriving in Boston, Massachusetts in 1634, Thomas Sherwood and his family moved to Wethersfield, Connecticut the following year. [18]

1640 Thomas Sherwood sold his lands in Wethersfield and moved to Stamford, Connecticut. [19]

1648 Thomas Sherwood moved to Fairfield, Connecticut. [20]

1655 Thomas Sherwood wrote his will on July 21. The probate copy of the will is badly damaged [21], but Mahler refers to transcriptions made before the damage was so extensive to provide the following summary, [22]

Thomas Sherwood "gave unto the children of my first wife. I bequeath to my son Thomas five acres of upland lying upon the north end of Sasqua Neck. I bequeath to my daughter Jane twenty shillings. I bequeath to my daughter Tamsen twenty shillings. I bequeath to my daughter Marg. [sic] twenty shillings. I bequeath to my daughter Sarah twenty shillings. I bequeath to my daughter Hanna twenty shillings. I bequeath to my daughter Rose twenty shillings. I bequeath to my daughter Rebecca forty shillings. I will that the above named legacies be payd within one year after my decease. I will and bequeath to my wellbeloved wife Mary Sherwood whom I make executor and executrix of this my last will who shall pay the above named legacies." He then left to Steven Sherwood "my dwelling house and homelot with all the buildings on this homelot and all the lott that layd next to my homelot … except half an acre"; to son Mathew "all my upland and meadow lying on the other side of Uncawy Creek namely on the east side"; to daughter Mary 10£; to daughter Ruth 10£; to daughter Abigaill 10£, to son Isaak "that dwelling house next to my dwelling house that I now live in" etc., to "my loving and well beloved wife Mary all of the estate undivided … Excepting a mare colt which my son Isaak shall have." Steven was to have his potion when he was 20 and Matthew also at 20.

1655 The inventory of the estate of Thomas Sherwood Senr. in Fairfield was taken on September 7. [23]
