1720 John Huggett, son of Robert and Sarah Huggett, was baptized on November 8 at St. Peter, Thanet, Kent, England. [1]

1780 Mary, wife of John Huggett, died on July 13 and was buried at St Peter, Thanet, Kent, England, where her tombstone inscription was reported as "And in memory of Mary, wife of the said John Huggett, who departed this life the 13th day July, 1780, aged 43 years, and whose remains are deposited in a vault near this place." [2]

1783 John Huggett died on March 8 and was buried at St Peter, Thanet, Kent England, where his tombstone inscription was reported as "And also of the said John Huggett, who, being bred in the sea service, was employed as commander of large ships in many voyages to New England; having spent the evening of his life in this parish, with the character of an honest man, died on the 8th of March, 1783, aged 63 years. Arms, G. a chevron between three stags' heads Or, impaling, parted per pale Sa. and G. a griffin pssant, countercharged as the field. Crest, on a torce, a stag's head Or." [3]
