1672-1684 Jonathan Dennes by his wife Rachel had 8 children born in Woodbridge:Elizabeth, Mary, Rachel, Jonathan, Joseph, Hannah, Charles, and Sarah.

1700 John Dennis was on a jury to prosecute participants in a riot in Woodbridge. Samuel Dennis was a justice of the peace. [1]

1702-3 On Jan. 3, John Dennes, of Woodbridge, carpenter, dated his will. Wife Rachell, sole heiress and executrix of goods and chattels. Children spoken of. Uncle Samuel Dennes and brother Nathaniel Fitz Randolph overseers. Witnesses Edward Slater, Philipp Cox and Nicolas Munday junior. Proved March 27, 1703. Middlesex Wills. [2]

1702-3 On January 28, Inventory of the personal estate of John Dennes (£29.11.0) was made by John Langstaff and Benjamin Martin. [3]

1740 John Dennis of Woodbridge was named as a friend and executor in the will of Robert Ayers of Woodbridge, Middlesex County, New Jersey.

1744 John Dennis of Piscataway, Middlesex County, East NJ sold 40 acres in "Shingle Hill" for 165 pounds to Nathaniel Manning. John and Mary (inconsistent with dates of birth of children by Elinor) Dennes signed. The land was bounded by that of John Manning, Joshua Martin, and Sarah Robison.
