Research Notes:

1737 John Taylor and Lydia Wright were married on February 16, 1736/37, at Springfield Twp, Burlington County. Witnessed by Amos Wright and others. [1]

1744 Amos Wright and Ann Black declared, for the first time, their intentions to marry. Recorded on March 1, 1743/44, at the Chesterfield Meeting. [2]

1744 Amos Wright and Ann Black declared, for the second time, their intentions to marry. Recorded on 6 of month 2, at the Chesterfield Meeting. [3]

1744 The marriage of Amos Wright was reported to have been orderly. Recorded on 3 of month 3, at the Chesterfield Meeting. [4]

1751-57 Amos Wright was a resident of Bordentown Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey. [5]

1759 Amos Wright was named as Brother-in-law and executor for the will of John Norris of New Hanover Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey. [6]

1778 John Abbott and Susannah Bullock of New Hanover Twp, daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth, married at Upper Freehold meeting 17th, 9th month, 1778. Witnesses Amos Wright and others. [7]

1780 Joseph Bullock Jr and Lydia Lawrie were married on March 16, at Chesterfield. Witnesses: Amos Wright and others. [8]

1791 Amos Wright, of Chesterfield, Burlington County, dated his will on May 3. Son, Thomas, north part of lands (where sons Thomas and Abner now live) of 109 acres, beginning in Samuel Roger's line, and a second tract of 180 acres (according to survey by George Bullock) by land of Cowperthwaite and John West; also, ½ of cedar swamps and ½ of rights in unlocated land, together with ½ of personal property, he paying my daughter, Elizabeth Bunting, £200. Son, Abner, remainder of land (227 acres), ½ of cedar swamps, ½ of right in unlocated land and the other ½ of personal property, he paying my daughter, Ann Butcher, £200. Executors: sons, Thomas and Abner. Witnesses: Joshua Bunting, Nathan Middelton, John Wright. Proved Feb. 11, 1794/95. [9]

1794 Amos Wright died on 2 of month 1, and was buried at Friends' burying ground at Upper Springfield. [10]
