1793 The will of Daniel Forrey, of Hempield Twp, Lancaster County, was written in German. The will was affirmed by Jacob Holtz and John Forrer, the subscribing witnesses. The will of Daniel Forrey was proved on March 6, 1793 and letters of administration were issued for John Newcomer Jr, John Hertzler, his wife Ann Elizabeth, and his son John Forry, the executors named in the will. The deed recounted facts from the will of Daniel, dated February 4, 1793, from the will of Daniel's father, John Forry, dated April 26, 1853, and from a land patent granted to John Forree, dated July 6, 1741. Daniel Forry left a widow Ann Elizabeth and six children: John Forry, Mary Forry, Elizabeth the wife of John Shallenberger, Barbara Forry, Susanna Forry, and Ann Forry. Barbara, Susanna, and Ann Forry were under age 21, with guardians Christian Newcomer, Joseph Carle, and Andrew Gerber, respectively. [7]
