Research Notes:

A biosketch of Sophia Dellinger reported [25] [26]:

Sophia Dellinger, born 22 June 1808 in Windsor Twp married John D Forry, born 1 October 1802 in Hellam Twp, son of Henry Forry and Barbara Engle. His mother, Barbara was the grand-daughter of Ulrich Engle, a Swiss Anabaptist immigrant in 1754 who settled in Donegal township of Lancaster County (PA Mennonite Heritage Vol XVI, N3, July 1993). Her uncle Jacob Brechbill Engle, born 5 Nov 1753, also immigrated in 1754, and after his marriage to Veronica Shrock in 1773, co-founded the River Brethren faith with Peter Witmer (History of the Old Order River Brethren by Laban T Brechbill, 1972). Sophia died 8 December and was buried at the Forry Cemetery, Hellam Twp, York County, Pennsylvania.

Mennonite Records report that John Forrey (1815-1886), son of John Forrey and Susanna Engle married Sophia Dellinger (1803-September 1, 1898). The names of the children agree with those named in John's will dated 1872. This contradicts the relationships that we show. The date of death reported for John Forrey in the Mennonite Record is inconsistent with the date of the will. We seek clarification about this inconsistency. [27] [28]

Who was James B Zeigler representing in 1876?

1827 A marriage date of January 30 has been reported. We seek documentation for the marriage of John Forrey and Sophia Dellinger.
