(death date is unclear)

1828 Henry Forry Jr (cooper) and wife Catherine of Hellam Twp sold a tract of 4 acres and 2 other small adjoining tracts of land in Hellam Twp, York County to Daniel Dietz Jr by deed dated Mary 15. The land had been granted to George Shuller by land patent A19-379. George Shuller had conveyed the land to Henry Forry. Two of the tracts were adjacent to lands of Jost Sultzbach, Adam Fishborn, Martin Shultz, heirs of Jacob Shultz, and Philip Sultzbach. The third tract was on the Susquehanna-York turnpike adjacent to John Manns Jr. The deed was dated March 15. [23] Perhaps Daniel Dietz was related to Peter Deitz, guardian of several of Henry's younger siblings (See the 1836 Orphans Court note, below).

1830 Henry Forry lived in Gettysburg, Adams County, Pennsylvania in a household with males: 1 (5 thru 9) and 1 (40 thru 49); and females: 2 (under 5), 1 (5 thru 9), 3 (10 thru 14), 1 (15 thru 19), and 1 (30 thru 39). [24]

1836 Henry was named as an heir of his father's estate. John Forry petitioned the York County Orphans Court on September 13 [26]:

The petition of John Forry was read to the Court. Setting forth in words following to wit-
To the honorable the judges of the Orphans Court of the County of York - The petition of John Forry one of the sons and heirs of Henry Forry late of Hellam Twp deceased who died intestate Respectfully showeth - That the said deceased died, leaving to survive him a widow named Magdalena, also sixteen children now living and the issue of one who died. namely Henry, Magdalena the wife of Jacob, Barbara the wife of Henry Fisher, Mary the wife of Jacob Stultzbach, Maria the wife of Joseph Rohrer, John the petitioner, Jacob Forry, Abraham Forry, Daniel Forry, Elizabeth Forry, Henry Forry, Joseph Forry, Samuel Forry, Susanna Forry, David Forry, and Rudy Forry. Also the issue of Ulrich Forry, deceased viz Mary, Elizabeth, and Henry Forry. The aforesaid children and grand children all being lawful issue. That said intestate died seized as of fee of the dwelling plantation with the buildings and improvements situate in the same township bounded by lands of George Gohre?, Benjamin Strickler, Henry Stover, Joseph Stover, John Houser, and others containing about one hundred seventy acres more or less also another tract of land in the same township with a house and stable thereon adjoining land of Christian Stoners heirs, Christian Kunkle and others containing about seventy five acres more or less - also another tract of land in the same township bound by lands of Peter Freed, Thomas Caldwalader and others with a house and barn containing about twenty one acres - all which said land and premises the said parties hold together and undivided and are unable to agree on any other mode of partition or valuation. The petitioner therefor prays that an inquest may be awarded to make partition of the premises …

Sheriff Adam Eichelberger appointed 12 honest men to value and divide the 4 parcels of land [which is consistent with the multiple acreages listed in tax records].

1836 On October 3, upon petition of Elizabeth, Freney, Joseph, and Samuel Forry, minor children of Henry Forry late of Hellam Township deceased, all above the age of fourteen years, the York County Orphans Court appointed Peter Deitz guardian over the persons and estates of the said minor children. Research Notes:

It is plausible that some of the notes above pertain to different men named Henry Forry.

Some researchers report a death date of 1817 for Henry Forry, son of Henry Forry. Perhaps this is due to the wording of the will of Henry Forry Senior which mentions "sixteen children now living and the issue of one who died, namely Henry, …". However, subsequent wording in the will clarifies that Ulrich was the name of the deceased sibling.

How many spouses did Henry have? Was Sarah the same person as Peggi Stultzbach, or was Sarah a second wife? Was Catherine a third wife?
