1700 James Sanders Esqr was at the Court of Appeals in Annapolis. [1]

1701 Mr James Sanders was at the Court of Appeals in Annapolis. [2]

1702 James Sanders, son of James Sanders, was baptized on June 24, at All Hollows parish, Anne Arundel County, Maryland [3]

1703 James Sanders Esq. gave a sworn deposition to the Council of Maryland that Captain Noah Bostock had boarded the ship "Owners Adventure" in a violent and unruly way. Dated March 5, 1702/03. [4]

1703 James Sanders, son of James Saunders, and Jane Cotter were married on September 23 at Westminster Parish, Anne Arundel, Maryland. [5] [6]

1703 On 27 October, James Sanders Esq "was added to the board" at the Maryland General Assembly. [7]

1704 James Sanders Jun registered his mark for animals in March, 1703/04. [8]

1705 On 4 December, in the fourth year of the reign of Queen Anne of England, France, Scotland and Ireland [the Queen?] appointed James Sanders, and others, as Justices at Annapolis. [9]

1706 Robert Sanders, son of James and Jane Sanders, was baptized on April 12, in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. [10]

1706 Elizabeth Sanders, daughter of James and Jane Sanders, was baptized on April 12, in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Elizabeth died on April 26, 1706. [11]

1706 William Taylard of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, sold land to James Saunders of the same county on 21 June 21. [12]

1701/07 On 7 October, Mr James Sanders was at the Court of Appeals in Annapolis, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. [13]

1710 On 10 October, a deed to James Carroll from William Jones and James Sanders planters for 42 pounds sterling of Great Britain. The one tract of land called Johns Cabbin Ridge the other part of Beards habitation and distinguished by the name of North Addition both containing about 150 acres. [14]

1714 On 19 March, James Sanders (Junior), of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, sold land to Samuel Young. The land had been sold on 21 June 1706 to James Sanders (Senior) Esq., late of Anne Arundel deceased. After the decease of James Sanders Esq, the land descended to James Sanders son and heir of James Sanders Esq. Jane, wife of James Sanders was examined separately for her consent. [15]

1714 James Sanders, of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, sold land to Stephen Wariner on January 4. The tract was called Bachelor's Hope. [16]

1714 James Sanders of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, "had a Capias returned Cepi against him at the suit of Charles Carroll for fifteen Pounds one Shilling and Eight pence Sterling and Cost of Suit for four hundred and Thirty One Pounds of Tobacco Upon Which return the Sheriff fees for the Arrestt and Imprisonment Dureing the Time the Said James was in Custody And Untill the Said Charles Carroll was paid his Debt and Cost af'd Which Was One hundred and Twenty Days Amounts to the Sum of Two Thousand Six hundred Pounds of Tobacco which Sume of Two Thousand Six hundred Pounds of Tobacco from the Said James the Said Thomas had and received and to his own Use did Convert and Dispose Viz' At Annarundell County aforesaid." 1715/16 The will of James Sanders was dated 13 December, 1710 in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. The will named wife Jane. Witnessed by Robert Browne, Samuel Basttee, and Thomas Gassaway. The date of probate was 25 February, 1715/16. [18] [19]

1764 On May 12, an Indenture by nephew by Robert Saunders of Ann Arundell County to John and Elizabeth Howard of Baltimore County, named James Sanders and wife Jane Gassaway. Whereas James Saunders grandfather of the aforesaid Robert Saunders was in his life time seized in fee simple of a tract of land lying in Baltimore County called James' Forrest containing 500 acres being part of 1500 acres called Expectation granted to one Thomas Lytfoot who sold the said 500 acres to James Saunders, who devised 1 moiety by his last will and testament to his son Robert Saunders who gave the 1 said moiety by deed to his son Robert Saunders the party first mentioned in this instrument of writing, and the other moiety he devised in his said will to his son James Saunders who devised it to his wife Jane Saunders and by her devision to her brother Thomas Gassaway who devised it by his will to the aforesaid Elizabeth Howard wife to John Howard. [20]

1776 Robert Saunders dated his will on April 16, in Maryland. The will named sister Elizabeth as executor and heir of Law's Chance and Howell, both purchased from Thomas Gassaway. The will named brother James and nephews and nieces William Saunders, Robert Saunders, Elizabeth Bewley, and Daniel Bewley. [21]
