1745 On 15 April, Joseph Borden (merchant), perhaps this one, was a freeholder in Chesterfield Township, Burlington County, New Jersey. [1]

1746 John Black and Amye Borden were married on September 3 in New Jersey, British Colonial America. John Black was of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Amye Borden, child of Jos. Borden, was of Bordentown. [2] [3] [4]

1788 Joseph Borden was actively engaged, from early manhood, in his father's extensive business enterprises, especially the stage boat and stage wagon from Philadelphia to Perth Amboy, via Bordentown, until his advancing years caused him to retire from active life, in 1788. [5] [6] [7]
