1780 On 12 of month 10 (October), John Staples Rogers, of Burlington Township (son of Thomas and Ann), and Mercy Taylor, of Chesterfield Township, daughter of Samuel, married at Chesterfield. Witnesses: Thomas, Ann, Thomas, Jr., Sarah, Phebe, Joseph P., Samuel and Ann Rogers, Samuel, Amos, Ann, John, Sarah, Edith and Stacy Taylor, Benjamin Linton, William Abbott, Joseph Cooper, James Lawrie, George Dillwyn and others. 1780 On 9 November, John Taylor and Phebe Rogers were married at the Burlington Meeting, Burlington County, New Jersey. Witnessed by John Staples Rogers and Marcy Rogers and others. [7]

1780 John Staples Rogers was on the October tax list for Burlington County, New Jersey. [8]

1781 Mercy, wife of John Staples Rogers was received at Burlington by a certificate from the Chesterfield Monthly Meeting. [9]

1782 Mercy (Taylor) Rogers was named in the will of her father Samuel Taylor of Chesterfield Twp, Burlington County. [10]

1781-1792 The children of John and Mercy Rogers were named as Rebecca, Mary, Samuel, and Tomasin. [11]

1793 John S. Rogers was on the June tax list for Burlington Twp, Burlington County, New Jersey. [12]

1808 Ann Rogers and Mary Rogers, daughters of John Staples and wife Mercy, were granted a certificate to Cornwall meeting, New York, 1808,5,2, returned. [13]

1810 Ann Rogers and Mary (Rogers) Perkinson; who were granted a certificate to Cornwall meeting, New York, 1808,5,2; returned. [14]

1810 Ann Rogers was dis and Thomasine Mumford, Rebecca Witcraft, and Mary Perkinson were dis mcd (disowned for marriage contrary to discipline), all daughters of John S. Rogers, on 9th month, 3rd day. [15]

John Staples Rogers, son of Thomas, and his wife Mercy, and their children Rebecca, Ann, Mary, Samuel, Thomasin, Amos, and Clayton; were members of the Burlington Meeting. [16] [17]
