1860 Jacob Bowman (age 37, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Brecknock Twp, Berks County, Pennsylvania, in a household with Catherine Bowman (age 35), Joseph Bowman (age 9), Jacob Bowman (age 8), and John Bowman (age 9/12). [3] [4]

1860 Jacob Bauman (born 19 April 1823) died on July 10 and was buried at Allegheny Mennonite Cemetery, Alleghenyville, Berks County, Pennsylvania. [5] [6]

1860 Estate papers for Jacob Bauman were recorded in Berks County, Pennsylvania. His will named wife Catharine and children Joseph, Jacob, and John. The children were under age 21. [7]

1870 Catherine Bowman (age 44, born in Pennsylvania) lived in Brecknock Twp, Berks County, Pennsylvania, in a household with John Bowman (age 10). [8]

1880 Catharine Bowman (age 54, born in Pennsylvania, widowed) lived in Brecknock Twp, Berks County, Pennsylvania, in a household with John Bowman (age 20), and Frederich Maggi (age 11). Catharine Bowman's parents were both born in Pennsylvania. [9]

1890 Documents from the probate records of Lydia Huber, daughter of Jacob Good, and her deceased spouse Christian Huber named collateral heirs of both Christian Huber and Lydia Huber. A document dated June 2, 1890, named collateral heirs. [10] A translation of the will of Christian Huber clarifies that the heirs of Christian were all descendants of his sister Anna. 1900 Catharine Bowman (born in Pennsylvania in Mar 1826, widowed), mother, lived in Brecknock Twp, Berks County, Pennsylvania, in a household with John Bowman (age 40), Sallie Bowman (age 34), Gertie Detrich (age 10), and Franklin Steffy (age 15). Catharine Bowman's parents were both born in Pennsylvania. Catharine Bowman had had 1 child, 1 still living. [13]

1901 Catharina Bauman (born 10 March 1826) died on January 7 and was buried at Allegheny Mennonite Cemetery, Alleghenyville, Berks County, Pennsylvania. [14] [15]

1929 John M Bowman, spouse of Sallie Reifsnyder, died on July 26 in Brecknock Twp, Berks County, Pennsylvania. He was born on August 21, 1859, in Brecknock, Pennsylvania, son of Jacob Bowman and Catherine Moore. [16]

A biosketch reports [17]:

Jacob Bowman, son of Joseph and brother of Benjamin, was born in Brecknock township, April 19, 1823, and he died July 10, 1860 ... His life was devoted to agricultural pursuits. Both he and his wife were members of the Mennonite Church, and both are and buried at the Allegheny Meeting House. He married Catharine Moore, born 10 March, 1826, and she died Jan. 7, 1901 ... This marriage was blessed with three sons:Joseph who died aged eleven years, and Jacob, who died aged nine, both of diptheria in two weeks time; and John M.
